Ranbir Kapoor Attended To-Be Father-in-law, Mahesh Bhatt's Birthday Bash, Alia Bhatt Shares Pictures

Filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt has turned a year older on 20th September. Not only a talented filmmaker but also an ideal father to his three daughters and a son, the Sadak 2 director has often opened up about his bond with his daughters, Pooja, Shaheen, and Alia, and expressed how proud he is of them.

Moreover, Mahesh Bhatt’s daughters love him to death and adore him. Though he is a possessive father, he always supports his daughters and praises them. On the work front, Mahesh last directed Alia Bhatt starrer Sadak 2, which also starred Pooja Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt.

Mahesh Bhatt turned 73 today and to wish her daddy dearest, his eldest daughter, Pooja Bhatt took to her Instagram handle and posted two pictures of her dad with a sweet note. The note could be read as “The birthday boy.. But don’t miss the setting girl!”

In the photos, we can see Mahesh Bhatt surrounded by balloons while Alia was setting the scene for the perfect shot. However, it was Alia’s expressions while holding the balloons in the photos that stole the show. In addition, Pooja also shared a picture of the two cakes for her father’s midnight birthday celebration.

The most awaited wish came from the youngest of all, Alia Bhatt. She took to her Instagram and posted the pictures from her father’s birthday celebration and wrote “73 years young! Happy birthday, papa.” The fans were delighted to see Ranbir Kapoor attending his would-be father-in-law's birthday celebration. The family smiled at the camera as they celebrated Mahesh Bhatt’s 73rd birthday.

On the other hand, Mahesh Bhatt’s wife, Soni Razdan also shared a post for her husband. She posted a photo of the midnight birthday decor and wrote, “Happy birthday darling.”

In an interview with IANS, Alia Bhatt had talked about her father, Mahesh Bhatt’s possessive nature and, said that he doesn’t want the Bhatt sisters to get married. He even once warned his daughters, Alia and Shaheen, that he would lock them up in a room and never allow them to leave his sight. The Student of the Year actress had said, “My father told us you all can’t go anywhere, I will lock you up in a room. He is honest and blunt about the fact that he doesn't want us to get married. He is not saying just like that, he means it. He is very possessive and he doesn't want me to get married."

Going further in the interview, Alia had also opened up about her father's reaction to her performing kissing scenes in a movie. The Sadak 2 actress said, “My father knows that I am only acting. But if I ever kiss my boyfriend in front of him, for real, then he might slap me.”

For the unaware, Alia Bhatt is dating Ranbir Kapoor and her possessive father, Mahesh Bhatt has approved of their romance.
