Mahira Khan is undoubtedly one of the most prominent names in the entertainment industry. The popular Pakistani actress started her journey in the acting field back in 2011 with the film, Bol, and with her captivating beauty and impeccable acting, she has emerged as one of the best in the field. Apart from her projects in her homeland, Mahira also debuted in Bollywood in 2017 with the Shah Rukh Khan-starred film, Raees.
Mahira, who also has a massive fan following across several social media platforms, was left super impressed after watching a reel in which one of her fans imitated her Urdu accent. The video was posted by Astha Arora, who has around 10.5K followers on Instagram. Astha has also mentioned that she is an “Actor, Casting Director, and A Closeted Writer” in her bio.

A few days ago, Astha took to her Instagram account and uploaded the ‘accent challenge’ video to her feed. She was dressed in a black anarkali and was seen imitating the way Mahira talks during interviews. At the beginning of the reel, Astha was seen mimicking the actress when the latter spoke about how industry people asked her to get a nose job. Moreover, she also enacted how Mahira, in her other interviews, has talked about her love for nights, candles and Noorjehan’s songs. Astha captioned her post as:
“Bila wajah mere peeche mat padh jana! This is just for my love for Mahira Khan.”
Astha’s reel has garnered around 738K views at present, and even Mahira Khan saw it and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Pakistani actress posted a comment and said, “I laughed out loud watching this! You are brilliant yaaaar. Lots of love.” Meanwhile, people on the internet are divided over this video. Some like how Astha has exactly copied Mahira’s accent, while others differ on this. One user said, “It seems like mahirah is speaking.” Another one wrote, “Good try!! But still Mahira's accent suits on Mahira only.”

A few days ago, Mahira Khan was spotted at Arijit Singh’s concert, which took place in Dubai. A video from the event had gone viral on the internet, where the singer was seen introducing the Pakistani actress to the crowd. The video, shared by an IG user named Shahzadi Sipra, captured the moment when Arijit confessed that he first failed to recognise Mahira. While Arijit was introducing her, the Pakistani actress was seen flashing her brightest smile. She looked gorgeous in a black outfit and even waved at everyone when the camera was focused on her. Arijit said:
“You guys must be surprised, should I reveal. I should reveal in a very nice way. Can we have camera there. I have been trying to recognise this person, then remembered I have sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen Mahira Khan sitting right infront of me. Think about I was singing her song Zaalima and it’s her song and she was singing and standing and I couldn’t recognise her. I am so sorry. Ma’am, gratitude and thank you so much.”

Meanwhile, Mahira also posted a reel compiling all the memorable moments from Arijit’s concert. The Pakistani actress was seen joyfully entering the venue and clicking pictures with her friends. Moreover, she also included a clip of Arijit’s performance and heaped praise on the singer’s humility. She mentioned in the caption:
“I wasn’t meant to be here for this.. but.. I guess I was. You know what I mean? What a pleasure it is to watch an artist perform.. whirling in joy, surrounded by love.
