Pakistani film and television actress, Mahira Hafeez Khan is one of the most popular and highest-paid actresses in the country. She worked as a video jockey for various television shows before she made her debut with a supporting role in the blockbuster social drama, Bol in 2011. Mahira has received several accolades, including seven Lux Style and seven Hum Awards.
The popular Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan tied the knot with Salim Karim. She had a dreamy destination wedding in Pakistan in October 2023. The actress soon posted a beautiful video from her big day on social media. In the shared video, she was seen walking down the aisle with her son, Azlan, by her side. In a recent candid interview with BBC Asian Network, Mahira got emotional as she reflected on her special day. She also shared that she is extremely proud of her child.
In the same conversation, Mahira was asked about the decision to share such a big and intimate moment with her fans. She responded by saying that she felt like a lot had gone wrong and that moment at her wedding felt like God had rewarded her for all her good deeds. Mahira was quoted saying:
"It feels like every single thing that went wrong. Let me put it in a better way: every time that I was good in some way, I was kind or looked after people around me. It was as if god put it all together and blessed me and said, 'Here this is for the good that you have done.' It felt like that moment. I was constantly saying, 'Alhamdulillah'."
Mahira added that it was an extremely special moment for her as she had always imagined that it would only be her and her son, Azlan. She also opened up about how proud she was of her son, so she asked him to walk her down the aisle. In Mahira's words:
It was a very big moment for me because I had always imagined my life to be me and Azlan. This was a very big moment. I was very proud of my child… I wanted him to walk me down the aisle, so he did!"
Mahira Khan was married to Ali Askari before and shares a beautiful son with him. Her now husband, Salim Karim, is a Pakistani business tycoon at Pearl Continental Hotel Bhurban. Mahira shared a small clip from her wedding on her Instagram account. However, the video has now been deleted. In the video, Mahira captioned her love for her husband in a sweet text that read, 'My Shehzada, Salim'. She had made a stunning entry and was twinning with her son, who remained beside her during the ceremony.
