A while back, on December 30, 2024, Malaika took to her Instagram stories to share a cryptic post on the lessons she had learned from the year. She does not hate the year but calls it a difficult year full of challenges, changes, and learning.
Malaika Arora, who has kept herself strong after her breakup with Arjun Kapoor, took to her Instagram stories to share a note in 2024. Her note came after days when she reacted to her ex-Arjun Kapoor's 'I am single' public comment. As Malaika looked back at the year her note spoke about how she felt the year had treated her. It read:
"I don't hate you 2024 but you were a difficult year, full of challenges, changes and learning. You showed me that life can be in the blink of an eye and taught me to trust myself more. But, above all you made me understand that my health, whether physical, emotional or mental, is what really matters. There are things I still can't understand, but I believe that with time, I will understand the reasons and purposes of everything that happened."
Malaika's former boyfriend, Arjun, hogged the limelight when, in October 2024, at a Diwali Party, he confirmed that he was single. The former pair, who started dating back in 2018, parted ways in 2024. There was no official confirmation of the breakup, until Arjun revealed that he was single. All eyes then shifted to Malaika, who maintained her stoic silence on the matter for the longest time.
Malaika shared she wants to keep her private life away from media glare and scrutiny. However, in a recent interview with ETimes, when Malaika was asked about Arjun's viral comment on their breakup, she responded maturely. In Malaika's words:
"I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life. So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative. I am a very private person, and there are certain aspects of my life which I don’t want to elaborate on much. I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life. So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative."
Despite the separation, Arjun stood by Malaika when her stepfather, Anil Mehta, died by suicide in September 2024. Arjun condoled his ex-girlfriend and stood by her family in times of grief.
