She looked stunning in a black body-hugging dress with matching black stilettos. As soon as her video surfaced on social media, a section of netizens trolled her mercilessly. This is not the first time when Malaika got brutally trolled. A few months back, Malaika was papped outside her yoga class. As she sat in her car, a fan approached her for a picture, the actress lost her cool, and had said, “Kitna photo loge? Abhi aapne liya na?” But even after this, she had agreed to the picture. As soon as the video got viral, the actress got brutally trolled for her behaviour and showing attitude toward her fan.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Malaika had shared that although she learnt to deal with trolling, it was not the same for her parents as they would get affected by it. Revealing how her parents would come up to her telling what people have commented, Malaika had shared:
"My parents would keep saying, 'beta someone said this or that'. And finally, I sat them down and said, 'Enough! Stop reading this garbage. It is complete BS. Please do not focus your energies on this'. At the end of the day, they are parents and they hear something, they get upset. But once I sat them down, that was that. It never ever came up again."
