Malaika Arora Consoles Her Mom, Joyce As She Breaks Down Into Tears During Anil Mehta's Last Rites

Malaika Arora’s entire world collapsed when she received the news of her father, Anil Mehta’s death on September 11, 2024. As per reports, he passed away after committing suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of his building. The last rites of Anil Mehta will be performed at the Hindu crematorium in Santa Cruz.

As the family bid their final goodbye to Anil, his ex-wife and Malaika Arora’s mother, Joyce Polycarp, was spotted as she arrived at the crematorium. In the videos doing rounds on social media, Joyce was seen breaking down into tears and crying her heart out as she headed to the crematorium. She was accompanied by Malaika and her son, Arhaan. Seeing her mom in such a devastated condition, Malaika consoles her and helps her get into the car.

Malaika Arora couldn’t stop crying

In another video, Malaika was seen standing outside her parent’s home along with her son, Arhaan. It is the most painful time for the actress and she couldn’t hold back her tears. With her head held down, Malaika was seen crying, while her son, Arhaan comforted her.

Malaika Arora’s mom allegedly revealed what happened on the day of her husband’s death

The entire industry is shaken by the news of Malaika's father, Anil's death. Anil Mehta, who was divorced from his wife, Joyce Polycarp, when Malaika was just 11-year-old, started living together a few years ago in the same flat in Bandra. The family would often come together for family dinners. As per the reports, Joyce, in her statement, revealed that she had been living with Anil for the last few years. 

Talking about the incident, Joyce revealed that her ex-husband, Anil, had no illness except knee pain (due to old age). She further shared that she found Anil's slippers in the living room and then went to look from outside. However, when she was not able to find him, she leaned from the balcony and saw the watchman screaming for help.
