Malaika Arora and her boyfriend, Arjun Kapoor, are reportedly going through a rough patch in their relationship. If reports are to be believed, the duo has parted ways in a dignified manner. However, neither Malaika nor Arjun addressed the ongoing rumours. The actress skipped her boyfriend’s midnight birthday celebration and didn’t even wish him on social media, sparking speculation about their possible breakup.
In an interview with Hello magazine, Malaika Arora opened up about how she deals with negativity surrounding her personal life. Amid the ongoing rumours of her breakup with Arjun Kapoor, Malaika also talked about how the internet can be a very toxic space. She shared that earlier negativity affected her, but now she has built a mechanism against it. Malaika was heard saying:
“I have somehow built a mechanism — or shield, I would say — around me where I don’t let the negativity through anymore. I’ve insulated myself from it. Whether it’s people, a work environment, social media or trolls. The minute I feel that energy, I recoil instantly. It’s something I’ve learned to do over time."

Malaika Arora added that she used to break down and cry after getting trolled for something or another, but never showed it in public. She mentioned that she doesn't want to engage with nameless and faceless people on the internet as they mean nothing to her. Elaborating the same, Malaika said:
"It would get to me earlier, and I would lose sleep over it. I’d be lying if I said things don’t affect me at all — I’m human too, so I will cry, break down, and have all the emotions associated with being trolled. But you’ll never see that in public. I don’t feel the need to engage with some nameless, faceless person on the internet and justify myself to them. Trolls mean nothing to me. I’m aware of everything, I’m not living under a rock — but I just distance myself from it.”
When Malaika Arora was asked about her idea of love, she called herself a hardcore romantic. The diva added that she would never give up on the idea of true love, and would fight for love till the very end. Mentioning that she knows where to draw the line, Malaika said:
“I’ll never give up on the idea of true love, no matter what. I’m a typical Scorpio that way, so I’ll fight for love till the very end — but I’m also very realistic and know where to draw the line.”

The source further mentioned that the duo had a long and fruitful relationship, which is unfortunately over now, but they do not have any bad blood between them. Malaika and Arjun would continue to share the same respect for each other even after parting ways, and they want people to give them space to deal with the emotional moment. The duo respects each other hugely and will continue to be each other's pillars of strength despite them deciding to part ways.
