His designs are beyond description and one can simply wonder at how the designer manages to come up with something unique, something brilliant at every fashion show dedicated to bridal couture. India is the only county where three couture weeks and a bridal fashion week have taken place in a span of four months. Manish Malhotra presented his collection for the dreamy yet emancipated bride of today in three out of four of these events and at each of them, he stunned the audience, winning their appreciation all the way.
He presented his bridal collection for both the bride and the bridegroom at the last day of India Bridal Week, giving it the much deserved finale. All the shades of a bridal couture were on resplendent display: the pinks, the greens and the reds were heartwarming. The collection was largely made of georgettes, nets, velvet, chiffon, satin and silk- basically everything that befits a bridal attire. Smart use of sequins, laces and Swarovski and other embellishments gave the designs a dazzlingly rich appeal.

The cholis were mostly v-shaped with lower backs and the lehengas were in the form of asymmetrical A-line full skirts, with lots and lots of layers and panels. The panels or the kalis as we call them were hued in different colors as each layer gave way to another. The sarees were exotic and ended barely above the ankle, giving a plush view of the feet adorned with artistic jeweler.
The groom’s wear consisted mostly of Jodhpuri suits with front open coats and full salwars. The motifs used exuberated a masculine appeal and were adorned with rich embellishments. All in all, the collection had appeal, exoticness, drama and excitement- just a few of the emotions the bride and the groom feel on their Big Day.
