Recently, during a chat with Pinkvilla, Manisha was asked about missing a partner in her life. To this, the Heeramandi actress jokingly quipped, “Who said I don’t have one?” followed by a playful laugh. While she didn’t directly confirm or deny having a companion, her words hinted at the possibility of someone special in her life. Manisha elaborated:
“Yes and no, because I have made peace with who I am and the life that I have and if a companion has to walk into my life, I don’t want to compromise and let go of the quality of life that I have. If the companion can add to it and walk alongside, I am more than happy. But I don’t want to change what I have right now.”
For the uninitiated, Manisha Koirala was previously married to Nepali businessman, Samrat Dahal since 2010. However, their conjugal bliss did not last long and they parted ways two years later. Nevertheless, the actress held her head high and did not let it change her outlook towards life. Today, as a cancer survivor and independent woman, Manisha emphasises interpersonal tandem over companionship. Manisha said in the interview:
“If a companion has to happen, it will happen. It will be in tandem with each other rather than me trying to discover a companion because my life is full.”
Manisha Koirala’s life journey is nothing short of inspiring. After battling ovarian cancer in 2012, she emerged as a symbol of hope for cancer patients. Now, with a thriving career and a fulfilling personal life, the actress enjoys her independence in her own terms. Talking about her take on life post-cancer recovery, Manisha told Pinkvilla:
“I am leading a great quality of life and I just hope it continues. The sense of choice, freedom, and fulfilment that I get, I wish to continue that.”
Talking about the early days in Mumbai, Manisha recalled that SRK had advised her to get settled in the city and make it her home. Manisha further recalled that Shah Rukh Khan was the first person to give her such valuable advice and help her settle down and make Mumbai her home. He was the one who suggested that Manisha would be able to feel rooted in the city once she owned a house to herself.
