Priyanka Chopra’s cousin, Mannara Chopra, became the second runner-up of Bigg Boss 17. She was extremely elated after beating her rival, Ankita Lokhande and grabbing the third position on the show. Recently, Mannara demanded a public apology from her co-contestant, Munawar Faruqui, after she learnt about his revelations that she made him uncomfortable with his kiss. And now, it looks like the Bigg Boss 17 winner decided not to invite Mannara to his party.
On January 31, 2024, Mannara Chopra was spotted by the paparazzi as she stepped out in the city. In a video that surfaced on social media, a paparazzo was heard telling Mannara about Munawar's party and asked her if she would be attending it. However, she stated that neither she was aware of the party nor she was invited. As a paparazzo told Mannara, “Aaj Munawar bhai party kar rahe hai”, she asked:
“Accha, kahan pe? Mujhe nahi pta tha. Sorry.”

Mannara's statement came as a shock to everyone and ignited rumours of the possible rift between her and Munawar. When the paparazzo further asked Mannara if she would be attending the party, the actress added:
“Nahi, mujhe toh pata nahi tha. So I am not going”

In one of the episodes of Bigg Boss 17, Munawar Faruqui told Ankita Lokhande that Mannara Chopra kissed him on his cheeks on Diwali night, which made him extremely uncomfortable. He even mentioned that he has been conscious about his friendships from Day 1, but the audience might have seen the incident. He also revealed that he kept this secret in his heart as he didn't want to make things awkward for Mannara. Munawar added:
"Kyunki maine wo hamesha dil me rakha hua tha. Maine bola nahi kyunki uske liye wo awkward ho jayga. Mujhe usko bhi protect karna hai us cheez se. Fir wo pochhne lagi aur dance ke baad jab hum yahan sofe par baithe the tab usne do teen baar kaha ‘Dance mast tha na? Maza aaya na dance me?’ Maine kaha haan theek tha. Fir wo mujhe aise dekhti hai aur kehti hai khadoos."

After her exit from Bigg Boss 17, in an interview with The Times Of India, Mannara Chopra opened up about her bond with Munawar Faruqui and called him family and a true friend. However, Mannara was shocked to learn that Munawar revealed that he had felt uncomfortable when she kissed him. Mannara also expressed her discomfort and demanded a public apology from Munawar for his weird comment about her. She was quoted as saying:
"Oh my god! It's a weird statement. There's no footage like this. I don't know in what context he said that, but if he has, he needs to apologise to me publically."
