Fashion designer, Masaba Gupta is over the moon, as she is all set to welcome her first child in October 2024 with Satyadeep Mishra. For the unversed, the couple got married back in 2023, and within a year, they announced their 'good news' to the world. Masaba has been winning our hearts with her top-notch maternity fashion. Recently, the actress opened up about her pregnancy journey and shared what initiatives she has been taking for the same.
In an interview with ETimes, Masaba Gupta revealed that she is heading towards something that is unpredictable and exciting, but she's prepared for the former. She also expressed her wish to be a hands-on mom like her mother, Neena Gupta, who has done a lot all by herself. Masaba also revealed her plan of not burdening Neena with responsibilities when her baby will come. Masaba shared:

"I intend to be a hands-on parent like my mother because she did a lot by herself. I will be perfect in some areas, and imperfect in some, but I will be learning every day. Babies are super resilient. I don’t want to put any pressure even on my mother to be around the baby because she has her own life.”
In the same interview, Masaba Gupta revealed the kind of tips she had gotten from her mom, Neena Gupta. The fashion designer said that she has no expectations that her child has to be extraordinary. Explaining the same, Masaba stated Neena's tips about how a child can born and be raised very well and become anything. Neena can be quoted as saying:
"The only thing that she told me is that ‘A child can be born and be raised very well and become anything that you imagine or aspire the child to be from a footpath and from a mansion’. So that’s my manual. She always reminds me that children are born on the footpath in this country and they turn out okay. So, I should make the most of the resources I have got and not have this expectation that my child would turn out to be greater.”
Masaba Gupta, in the same interview, shared that she is too happy to be a healthy pregnant person, and she is enjoying every bit of it, from gaining weight to growing a baby inside of her and looking fuller. The mom-to-be added that she wanted to do all of it during her pregnancy, what she has been doing before, and she never planned to hide her pregnancy.
Masaba said that pregnant ladies shell out a sheer joyous and unique beauty that should be celebrated rather than hidden. The fashion designer expressed her love and admiration for Kareena and Alia, who worked during their pregnancy and set an example out there. Masaba can be quoted as saying:

"I was greatly inspired by Kareena because she was just out and about. She was working, having lunch, having dinner, and living like a normal pregnant woman would live. Even Alia Bhatt promoted a film. It was not a big deal. We make too much of a deal out of it."
In an interview with Harper Bazar's official site, Masaba Gupta shared that she has been taking care of herself and cut off those people who never uplift her; rather, she has been connected with all those who send positivity. Masaba further remarked that she has been finding solace in Vikram Seth’s translation of the 100 Mandalas and the Hanuman Chalisa. She also added that she thought of freezing her eggs, but Neena Gupta warned her about the challenges that may come along its way. Thus, the fashion designer changed her mind.
