As a Mumbai-based jeweler, he has also made significant strides in the real estate sector. In 2005, he founded Stelmac Developers Private Limited, where he served as a director until 2011. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Blackstone Housing and Infrastructure Private Limited, where he currently holds the position of managing director.
If you thought it was about Iqbal Ratansi's business endeavors, then you are mistaken. In 2016, he expanded his business in the film sector and established a company that provided lighting tools and equipments. Later, during the pandemic, Iqbal Ratansi established Zahero Media and Internet Private Limited.

Iqbal Ratansi, a man who prefers a private life, has three children, each with a unique path. The eldest, Zaheer, is a living testament to his father's values and is professionally an actor. And then there's Sanam Ratansi, his only daughter and a celebrity stylist and costume designer, who has carved her niche as Sonakshi Sinha's personal stylist.

Salman once shared that Iqbal was a significant source of help and even provided financial assistance during his difficult phase. Iqbal and Salman's friendship spans over three decades, and Salman even launched Iqbal's son, Zaheer, in Bollywood with the film, Notebook. Reflecting on his bond with Iqbal, Salman once said:
"Iqbal Ratansi used to work like my personal bank during my teenage years. Even today I have a loan I have a loan of Rs 2011 from him. Thank God that to date he has not asked for interest on his loan."
