Ranvir Shorey has grabbed all the limelight at the moment, as the actor recently graced the reality show, Bigg Boss OTT 3, which is hosted by Anil Kapoor. For the unversed, Ranvir has been a part of several hit films, including Aaja Nachle, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Chandni Chowk To China among many others. While Ranvir wasn’t able to secure a superbly successful career in films, nevertheless, he has often garnered attention with his outspoken nature and bold opinions.
To begin with, Ranvir Shorey developed his interest in films since he was born within a family of people belonging to the entertainment industry. His father, KD Shorey was a writer as well as filmmaker. He also has two brothers, Lokesh and Shrinath, both of whom have been bonafide actors. Ranvir too, developed his liking for the craft during his early years, and was an active participant in dramatics, both at the school and college days. Prior to his debut in the films, Ranvir marked a successful career in the role of a VJ.

After such experiences, Ranvir then went on to associate with Vinay Pathak and earned major success with a film like Ek Chhoti Si Love Story, alongside Bollywood's then-leading diva, Manisha Koirala. Thereafter, he became part of films like Jism and Khosla Ka Ghosla, which gave him widespread fame. Despite playing secondary roles in these films, Ranvir managed to captivate audience’s attention, and was proclaimed highly as an actor with perfect comic timing.
Well, even after attempting to impress the audiences with his performances, Ranvir Shorey has, unfortunately, not been able to make it big in terms of his career. While he has been a part of several films, and even some of his performances have hit the right spots according to the audience’s opinions. But, after a certain point of time, got typecasted in similar kinds of roles, which ultimately impacted the choices he got. In several interviews of his, the actor has frequently hinted at being out of work.

Coming to his personal life, there was a time when Ranvir Shorey was speculated to be in a steady relationship with actress, Pooja Bhatt. However, he ended up getting married to Konkona Sen Sharma, on September 3, 2010. The couple had dated for a few years before getting hitched. After their engagement in 2008, Ranvir and Konkona tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at their home in Goregaon, Mumbai. The couple welcomed their son, Haroon in 2011. Unfortunately, within five years of marriage, Konkona and Ranvir decided to separate. However, the ex-couple continue to remain amicable and co-parent their son together.
Fast forward to now, Ranvir made a major life update and joined in the bandwagon to become a part of the most popular reality show, Bigg Boss OTT 3, hosted by Anil Kapoor. During the very first introductory episode, the actor explained that he joined the popular reality show since he had been jobless for a long time now, and that is the primary reason due to which he joined the show. Ranvir mentioned that he joined the show so as to revive his career.
