While the world is looking forward to the election campaign and subsequent election results, their recent political campaign has impressed all Bollywood buffs. We are sure that you all remember the iconic Nacho Nacho song from the film, RRR, which marked history for India as it bagged the prestigious Oscar award. Now, the song has hit yet another history as it was used by Kamala Harris' political campaign to attract the South-Asian communities residing in America.
The campaign gained traction in no time and had millions of views. While the Bollywood junkies loved the unique concept, the South Asian communities were also attracted to it. Atul Jain Bhutoria is the member of Kamala Harris' National Finance Committee member and the main brand behind the Nacho Nacho campaign. The Bollywood Touch to the campaign was with the aim to gain maximum attention and support from the South Asian communities living in the States. Talking about his vision behind the campaign, Atul Jain Bhutoria said:
"With over 4.4 million Indian-Americans and 6 million South Asians eligible to vote, our goal is to help propel Vice President Kamala Harris to victory in 2024. The video transcends language and cultural barriers, resonating with voters in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Bengali and more."
Atul Jain Bhaturia added that the lyrics and festive spirit of the song appealed to him. He felt it would be a perfect song to add to Ms Harris' campaign as it would send a strong message to all voters. Mr Bhaturia added that in 2020, their party made history by electing the first-ever South Asian woman, and they aim to do the same this time, too. He added:
"In 2020, we made history by electing the first woman of South Asian and African-American descent as Vice President. Now, in 2024, it's time to make her our next president."
Atul said that in 2020, he saw a lot of Bollywood-inspired videos go viral, which inspired him to follow the same route. The South Asian voters hold a substantial majority of voters in this year's election, and her wants their decision to be in his party's favour. He promises to work tirelessly to gain the voters' support and inculcate more Bollywood-inspired themes in the campaigns. In Atul's words:
