Age is just a number and it actually is! Not only for the sake of saying it, but we truly mean it and so does the Greek God of Tinseltown, Milind Soman and his pretty wife, Ankita Konwar. Love is a beautiful feeling of being surrounded by all things good. It is not something which filters out emotions on the basis of age, caste, creed or religion. It just happens! Milind and Ankita too fell for each other likewise, but people started to question them for their huge age-gap of 26 years. While Milind, on one hand, is 53, Ankita, on the other hand, is 26 years old. When the two had made their relationship official and then had gotten married on April 22, 2018, it was followed by innumerable trolls targeting them for marrying without keeping their age-gap into account. But does that really matter when two people are in love? What if two people of a decent age gap get married, but are not in love with each other at all? While we would like to let you ponder over this question, Milind and Ankita themselves have recently talked about their age-gap.
In a recent media interaction, on the account of their age-gap, Ankita remarked, “If you are with somebody that probably the whole society is really really happy with, but you are not happy, then what is the point?” And Milind went on to say, “There is a big age difference, (26 years, Ankita chips in) So it is the difference between my age and my mother’s age.” (You May Like: Asin Thottumkal's Daughter, Arin Dressed In Lehenga-Choli On Her First Onam, Looks Cute Beyond Words)
Milind finally signed off by stating, “Conventionally, society has created these barriers for people when they fall in love. These are the people who should be together, these are the people who should get together. Those are based on many things – race, religion, country, gender. I think there should not be any barriers. I think everybody should be free to choose who they love and who they like and that should be based just on feelings that they have in the heart; it should have nothing to do with the society.”
Earlier, in an interview to The Week, the Made in India star had said, "I do not really consider the age gap. Of course, two people are always different, in terms of age, background, experiences and culture. So there are always things that need to be understood and accepted. There are old habits that you have to unlearn to keep a relationship strong, positive and healthy. It is important to make your partner feel comfortable and help her achieve what she wants."

In the same interaction, he had also talked about his professional life and was quoted as saying, "I travel about 20 days a month. I started an event management company in 1989 and have been an event manager for almost 35 years. We do a lot of events. Then I have a startup which is into designing activewear for women. I have a company which makes energy bars. I am part of a foundation which does work on menstrual hygiene. All these keep me occupied all the time." Even prior to this interview, Milind had spoken about the age-gap and the trolls that had followed. He had retorted, "A relationship, it’s about both the people. And I don’t consider age at all for anything- whether its relationships, fitness or health or whatever.” When he was asked to comment on a troll that had written, ‘Milind and Ankita look like father and daughter’, he had replied, “I guess some people find it unusual. They seem surprised.”
Revealing their love tale in August 2018, which was a well-kept secret, Ankita had penned on her social media, “After almost 5 years, reliving that magic, where our eyes met for the first time, in spite of all the loud music and a crazy crowd. We knew it was magic at the very moment and it has been the same ever since A crazy story how we ended up there in the club though Thank you @radhika.1190 for this beautiful moment @milindrunning #foreveryouandi.” (Checkout: Erica Jennifer Fernandes Ignores Her Rumoured Beau, Parth Samthaan At 'Mission Over Mars' Screening)
Ankita and Milind’s wedding was a completely dreamy affair in the presence of their close friends and family members. Thanking each one of them for being a part of their big day, Ankita had written, “Growing up, I personally never liked weddings, felt like a lot of effort for no good reason. Attended no one’s wedding but my only sister’s! But that one wedding changed me. The energy, the support from the family and friends is exactly what a couple needs when they start a new life together. We did have a beautiful wedding with the lovely family and friends and their immense effort to make the day memorable for us was/is/always will be a true blessing. Thank you.”
Wishing Milind Sonam and Ankita Konwar a blissful wedded life!
