We still remember when Mira walked into our lives like lightning and made us drool over the way she held Shahid's hands and stepped into the world of paps. However, she has always held her head high and has proudly worn the tag of housemaker. Her words still echoed when she gave an empowering speech in the year 2017 on the occasion of Women's day. She gave all the housemakers an identity and given the respect which is the 24*7 thankless job lacks.
We totally love her frank attitude and bright smile, but sadly she has always been an easy target for the trolls. Recently, Mira was spotted with husband, Shahid Kapoor and kids, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor at the airport as they headed to their vacation trip to Singapore. While we loved seeing the family together in one frame, netizen noticed something super interesting. Yes, fans spotted Taimur Ali Khan's nanny, Savitri, walking behind them. A couple of months ago, Mira was trolled for colouring Misha's hair. In an interview with the IANS, Mira had stated, "It wasn't a colour. It was a regular paint. She just had nice time and I think it's just about letting your children to be creative, letting them be free and letting them to have a good time. I think it doesn't make sense to get serious about everything." (Also Read: Madhuri Dixit Reveals How Her Kids React To The Movies She Has Done, Talks About Motherhood)
In a throwback interview, Mira had also talked about her arranged marriage and how it has worked out for her. She had shared, “It has worked out beautifully. It's like any other marriage. We get along, have our fights, laugh a lot and raise our baby together. We are best of friends. When we step out, we are two people taking on the world.”
She had also talked about post-partum flab she had gained after giving birth to Misha, and had shared, “I think it's great to be fit, but better to be a healthy mother. I faced a lot of pressure when people photographed me. I used to be skinny, but after Misha, I would try on clothes, wondering if my tummy will show. It's okay to take time to lose weight. I could have been out and about, but chose to spend time with Misha. It is my choice to be at home. A working mother makes her own choices too; neither [homemaker or working mom] can be shamed. Feminism is not man versus woman. The new wave of feminism is aggressive and destructive. There is a term called FemeNazi, which is now becoming the female equivalent of male chauvinist.”
Earlier, during an 'Ask Me A Question' session on Instagram, Mira had revealed how she had prepared Misha to welcome another baby in the family. She had shared, “We spoke to her about it a lot. Read a lot of story books to her (Topsy and Tim and The New Baby became a favourite of hers). We let her feel a part of the process even till now! Help around, bring mom a glass of water or sing Wheels On The Bus to Zain if he is crying. We let her feel the baby is hers to take care of, so she felt like a grown-up little helper.” (Don't Miss: Priyanka Chopra's Ex-Sis-In-Laws, Ishita Kumar And Kanika Mathur Have Both Become Friends Now)
