Although Mirabai was on the third day of her period and had weakness in her body, she did her best in the Paris Olympics. For the unversed, the Indian weightlifter lifted a total of 199 kg, including 88 kg in snatch and 111 kg in clean and jerk. However, she missed the medal by just one kilogram. Well, her fans have been heaping praises on her for giving her best in the game.

It is noteworthy that Mirabai made a comeback after recovering from a hip injury. This time, at the Paris Olympics 2024, she could lift only 3 kg less than what she could do at the Tokyo Olympics. During the previous Tokyo Olympics, she had lifted 202 kg for a silver medal. Now, during an interview with the media present over there, after the Paris Olympics 2024 final event, Mirabai said:

"I am happy with my performance because after recovering from the injury I got very little time to prepare. I lifted 85 kg in practice and did the same in this event. I was confident of performing well in clean and jerk. Everything was going well and I followed everything the coach said. Today luck was not with me, I could not win the medal but I did my best."
