Mirzapur has undoubtedly been one of the most-loved OTT dramas at the moment, and ardent fans of the show are all geared up for its third season, which is scheduled to be released on July 5, 2024. For the unversed, the show has earned a special place in the hearts of the audience with few of its unforgettable characters, including ‘Kaleen Bhaiyya’, enacted by Pankaj Tripathi and ‘Guddu Bhaiyya’, enacted by Ali Fazal. And now, the new season of the show will be featuring a special appearance by none other than Jitendra Kumar.
As per the latest report, Jitendra Kumar, who rose to fame with his stint in the OTT show, Panchayat, will be making an in-character special appearance in Mirzapur 3. This would mark a cross-over of two high-rated shows by Amazon Prime, the streaming platform of both of the series. While Jitendra has already grabbed a lot of appreciation for his role in the Panchayat series, fans cannot wait to see what’s in store during his cameo role in Mirzapur 3.

With all the buzz surmounting Jitendra Kumar’s cameo role, in a recent interaction with ANI, ‘Guddu Bhaiyya’, a.k.a Ali Fazal laid to rest to curiosity of the fans and spilled beans on this mega cross-over between two highly successful OTT dramas that is set to take place, through the presence of Jitendra. He mentioned that the latter’s character, would portray the ‘Sachiv ji’ or secretary who will come in ‘Mirzapur’ to analyse the paperwork related to the death of ‘Kaleen Bhaiya’. Jitendra Kumar’s cameo would last for about two episodes of Mirzapur.
Earlier, during an interview with the Hindustan Times, Jitendra Kumar had opened up about witnessing the massive fame first hand, after his hit series, Panchayat became a magnanimous success amongst the audience. The actor, who had been a part of the series for three instalments in a row, expressed how he only tried to show the purest form of his craft on the camera. Adding more, Jitendra said:
“As an actor, when your show becomes such a massive hit, and gets love from all quarters, it comes with more opportunities to better films, work on better scripts and work with interesting filmmakers. It becomes my responsibility to try to do the work in a more creative and interesting way to meet the expectation of my fans. And that’s what my attempt is… That I add more and push myself more in my future projects to maintain the position.”
