The Modern Family alum, Sofia Vergara, ended her seven-year marriage with the Magic Mike actor, Joe Manganiello in July 2023, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason. For the unversed, the 51-year-old actress got acquainted with Joe at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner in 2014 through her former co-star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson. They eventually got married in 2015.
After spending seven blissful years together, the former couple decided to part ways earlier this year. Recently, reports also claimed that the ex-couple, Sofia and Joe, have moved on from each other as they are seeing new people. Modern Family actress was spotted on a dinner date with an orthopaedic surgeon, Justin Saliman. On the other hand, Joe is reportedly casually seeing the Electric Love actress, Caitlin O'Connor.

In an interview with the media outlet, People, the 51-year-old Columbian-American actress, Sofia Vergara, opened up about the challenges she faced after her divorce from Joe Manganiello. At her beauty brand, Toty’s Transforma AHA launch party held on November 16, 2023, in Los Angeles, she opened up about her experience in the past year. She talked about how she coped with various challenges that came up. Although she mentioned that the year was not entirely bad, it was still pretty difficult for her. She said:
“I’ve had a very interesting year. I don’t want to say ‘bad’ or anything like that, but it’s been very interesting and very difficult. I went through a divorce this year, the SAG strike that went on for so long. I’ve seen my friends struggle, some had to take their kids out of their schools or had problems with their mortgages, so it’s been a weird, weird year.”
Sofia Vergara acknowledged that there have been various obstacles this year, personally and for the entertainment industry. Nevertheless, she remains optimistic about the future. She is excited about being a part of her upcoming Netflix show, Griselda, which is set to release in January 2024. She added:
“It’s not like it’s bad. I think all the things are resolving, everything is going to be okay, and I’m very excited for next year. I start the world press tour right after New Year’s, so I’m ready for that. It’s going to be exciting.”

When asked if she thinks that 2024 would be a ‘fresh start’ for her, the Columbian actress told the media outlet, People, that she hopes so. However, she added that she does not believe she is still a 'fresh' start at the age of 51. She shared:
"I don’t know if I’m fresh anymore, but I’m just excited. I’m excited for the TV show that is coming. I’m excited for Toty, which has been doing really well since we started, and people are loving it because it’s such a good quality product.”
Sofia Vergara, recently shared pictures of a reunion with her former Modern Family castmates. The reunion marked the first time that the award-winning ABC sitcom cast had gathered together since the show ended. She captioned her post as:
"So lucky to have worked with these people for 11 years. I love and miss u all, guys!!! #modernfamily."
