For the unversed, to announce the birth of their baby boy, Mohit Malik and Aditi Shirwaikar Malik had shared the first glimpses of their son with a caption, "Dear Universe, Thank you for this blessing! Thank you for these midnight cries and all that comes with it, because we truly feel lucky to welcome our little baby boy into our world of love! He's Here and He's Truly Magic. From 2 to 3, Happily Ever After… Yours Truly, Parents of #BabyMalik Mohit & Addite."
A few hours back, Aditi shared a picture of herself and talked about her weight gain as she believes that she has put on some weight after delivering her baby boy, Ekbir. She wrote, “Weight gain and pregnancy go hand in hand….I know I had not put on much weight in pregnancy but I have put on a little post. And am I worried? Honestly there are times when I think will I be able to shed the extra kilos but the minute I see Ekbir I tell myself, if my body could give birth to this beautiful little being, I am sure its capable of a lot more than I can ever imagine.”
Aditi then shared that giving birth is a beautiful process as the hormones in a mother changes and they have to nurse and feed their child. She added, “Being a woman and being able to give birth is a beautiful process but also one that isn’t easy. Our bodies hormones change, it needs a lot more to be able to nurse and feed a child and with it the weight gain does kick in.”

The Shararat actress then shared that with C-section, one is asked to rest and how the body deals with a lot of changes, leading to weight gain. She continued, “And especially with a C-section, you are asked to rest it out for the first month especially. The extra pampering, the lack of disciplined sleep and all the changes will lead to changes in your body but remember, take motherhood in your stride. We have such beautiful examples of women in our industry who despite motherhood were able to get back into shape.”
Aditi motivated the mommies out there to pamper their child without the guilt of weight gain as their nutritious diet nurtures their babies. She concluded the note, “But there’s a time for everything. Right now is guiltless time of being pampered and giving into your body’s needs as it nurtures a little baby that depends on you for nutrition. Eat healthy and be easy on yourself! #HappyMotherhood.”
Earlier in her motherhood diaries, Aditi had talked about how she had felt a sense of danger around her then-soon-to-be-born baby’s life and had decided to rush for a C-section delivery, listening to her motherly instincts. She had added that her son, Ekbir had a cord around his neck, which could have risked his life if she had not opted for an immediate C-section.
