Another pre-engagement ceremony took place in Goa amidst their family and friends, wherein Mohena looked resplendent in a blue coloured saree, her ‘dream man’ Suyesh donned a peach coloured bandhgala. The pictures of Mohena and Suyesh’s engagement were shared under the hashtag, #SuMoKiSagai by the couple’s friends and family.
Rumours were rife that Mohena’s character, Keerti Naksh Singhania will end in the show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai post her wedding, left her fans disheartened. Dismissing the rumours about the same, Mohena shared to TOI, "It's nothing like that as of now. If according to the story, going ahead Kirti dies, then it's the makers call, a creative call. But I, from my end, am not quitting the show." (Also Read: Alia Bhatt Reveals What She Would Name Her Daughter In Future, And It's A Unique Name)
Sharing how proud she is to be a part of the show, Mohena continued, "I haven't put down papers or anything as such and I don't want to also. I am very proud that I am apart of a show that is going on for 10 years and literally I am a part of history. I am very happy. As long as I can do Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, I will do it. But if the makers want Kirti to die then I don't know what to do. We will have to wait and watch what happens on the show."
Earlier, confirming her February 2019 engagement to The Times of India, Mohena was quoted as saying, "Yes, I am getting married and will be going on a long break when I will be tying the knot in the next two months or so." Revealing the details about her engagement, Mohena added, "I am getting engaged in February, in the second week."
But despite her statement confirming her engagement and marriage, there were speculations about the dates. In an interview with TellyChakkar, putting all rumours to rest, Mohena had shared, “There are a lot of wrong dates flying around. Many speculations are being made, obviously, because I haven’t commented too much on these things. I would like to clarify that I am going to get engaged in February and probably getting married at the end of this year."
Speaking about her husband-to-be for the first time, Mohena gushed, “I would not like to reveal the identity of my partner, but he is a thorough gentleman and a very normal, down-to-earth, and humble person. He is into a lot of social service. He belongs to a political family.”
When asked about the pressure she feels while dealing with the rumours on her personal life, Mohena replied, “I am a very non-starry and grounded person. I don’t fly high, I am just like a girl-next-door. I don’t think too much about news relating to my personal life getting leaked and all. Having said that, of course, I wanted to keep things a little private as it’s going to be an arranged marriage for me. I did not really want to talk much about it. I was dealing with it, and I felt I would talk about it when the time is right.” (Also Read: 'Baa Bahoo Aur Baby' Actress Benaf Dadachandji Gets Married To Her Long-Time Boyfriend, Norman Lou)
