Pakistani actress and producer, Momal Sheikh, who is known in Bollywood for her film, Happy Bhag Jayegi, recently made a statement in an interview related to the Kapoor family of Bollywood. The fame of the Kapoor clan is widespread globally. Pakistani actress, Momal Sheikh is in the headlines as she talked about the resemblance between her family and the Kapoors.
Momal Sheikh, a famous Pakistani actress, recently made a statement that will shock the Bollywood fans in India. Her family is as popular in Lollywood as the Kapoor family is in Bollywood. In an interview on After Hours with Ushna Shah, the actress explained her family tree and showed the resemblance between both the families. She said:

“Yes, I suppose, if you include Behroze and Saleem uncles’ families, we are the Kapoors of Pakistan. We are the Sheikh family of Lollywood.”
As to why she gave the tag ‘Kapoors of Pakistan’, Momal explained that just like the famous Kapoor clan, her family is also rooted deep in the entertainment industry and has achieved fame and success similarly. She further drew attention to the contributions her father, Javed Sheikh, and uncles, Behroze and Saleem, have made to the family legacy. Momal also underlined at her cousins, Shahroz and Sabzwari’s role in Lollywood.
However, the actress took a dig at the Kapoor family as she hinted at nepotism. Further, during the interview, Momal mentioned one difference between her family and the Kapoor family’s name. She said that her family behaves differently than Kapoors, and they are not a fan of nepotism. She also said that she is not as strict as her father when it comes to finding work without the family tag, but even if she uses the name, she doesn't get the work. She said:
“Baba does not make any phone calls for me. The point is that Kapoors bolte hain na 'Kapoors hai hum', 'nepo-nepo', toh hume koi phone call karke kaam nahi milta hai. I would use the family name but it does not work.”
Momal Sheikh is the sister of famous Pakistani actor, Shahzad Sheikh and daughter of Javed Sheikh. The latter is not only a Pakistani veteran actor but is also famous for his work in Bollywood. Talking about his appearances in Bollywood, he has worked in films like Om Shanti Om, My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, and Namastey London. He also acted with his daughter in the film, Happy Bhag Jayegi, which featured Sonam Kapoor too.
