One of the most popular actresses in the television industry is none other than Mona Singh. She started her acting career with the television drama, Jassi Jaisse Koi Nahin in 2000 and became a household name with her impeccable acting chops. And since then, the actress has never looked back. For the uninformed, Mona was last seen in the movie, Laal Singh Chaddha in 2022. After that, she played an important role in the series, Kafas. And recently, the actress made some shocking revelations about her casting couch experience.
In a recent interview with India Today, Mona Singh shared how she experienced the casting couch in the showbiz world. The actress shared that it happened long back when she used to travel from Pune to Bombay to give auditions. Mona revealed that she met a couple of people who made her feel uncomfortable and weird. Mona Singh revealed:
"I have. But that was, like, at the time, even before I got ‘Jassi…’. It was the time when I used to come from Pune to Bombay for auditions. I did meet a couple of people who made me feel uncomfortable and really weird and horrible."

In the same interview, Mona Singh shared that what she feels is that however naive or vulnerable or whatever age any woman is, her instinct is never wrong. The actress then stated that she just knew that she was in a very uncomfortable situation and wanted to get out of there and save herself. Elaborating more on the same, Mona stated:
“I think women, however naive or vulnerable or whatever age they are of, their instinct is never wrong. That gut is never wrong. So, I, I just knew that I’m in a very uncomfortable situation and (I thought) how do I get out of here and save myself? That was the only thing going on in my mind."
Further in the interview, Mona Singh explained that such things happen not only in the entertainment industry but also in other industries. She also mentioned that such things should never discourage anyone. Mona stated that such a horrible experience did not discourage her from entering the industry, and she is still pursuing her dreams. Mentioning it still exists, Mona Singh shared:
"It is just that such things should never discourage you from trying to do what you want to do. So, yes, it did not discourage me from entering the industry. I still pursued my dream. And now, of course, it still exists. And not only in this industry. It’s everywhere, and it’s become more of a personal choice."

In her personal life, Mona Singh is happily married to an investment banker, Shyam Rajagopalan. The duo tied the knot on December 27, 2019, in an intimate ceremony. Earlier in an interview with ETimes, the actress opened up about how marriage has changed her. She stated that life changes to some level when a female gets married and knowing Shyam Rajagopalan for a longer amount of time made the procedure easier for her. Mona also claimed that she lives around five minutes away from her parents, and thus she can see her parents whenever she wants to.

In the same interview, Mona Singh also revealed how she maintains her work-life balance. The actress shared that she worked for three months, and then she used to take her time out for her family. She stated that she loves her life, and as an actor, she gets time to rejuvenate.
For the unversed, Mona Singh tied the knot with the love of her life at the age of 39. And the duo is in no hurry to have kids even though the clock is ticking as she had frozen her eggs at the age of 34.
