With 8 TV soaps on-air, Balaji Motion Pictures with 4 upcoming films, ALTBalaji app streaming 30 shows in less than 2 years and another 30 expected this year (2019) and 117 in development; super-woman or we say wonder woman, Ekta Kapoor is riding high professionally and all credit goes to her hard work and sincerity. The good news came in heaps and bounty for one of the ace producers-directors of the industry, Ekta, with the arrival of her little bundle of joy, her first child, Ravie Kapoor, born to her through surrogacy. Not only the Kapoor clan but close friends who are like family to Ekta Kapoor, have been on cloud nine and are leaving no chance to spend time with the Junior Kapoor. After everyone from the industry met baby Ravie Kapoor at his naamkaran ceremony on February 11, 2019, Ekta’s dear friend, Mona Singh took out time from her hectic work schedule and decided to spend some ‘maasi-nephew’ time with Ravie.

On March 3, 2019, Ekta Kapoor posted a video of maasi, Mona Singh playing with Ravie Kapoor and talking to him in the cutest way possible. Mona and Ekta giggle through the conversation as the former says, "Your mummy yaar, content creator. Koi drama karega, potty karega." After sharing a hearty laugh with Ekta, Mona added, "Next episode, we will clean your potty." The two laugh again as Ekta wonders, "Episode ke beech mein potty hoga ki nahi." Ekta Kapoor and Mona Singh came together for their web series, Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 2, and the entire team is over the moon about its success. On the release of the show, Ekta congratulated Mona and wrote, "Today my besties new show on @altbalaji #kehnekohumsafarhain season 2 releases! In an interview with journalist and film critic, Anupama Chopra, Ekta Kapoor talked about a working mother’s guilt, and stated, “I have a lot of guilt even now. I don’t know how it just comes. I think the first thing you feel as a mother is a guilt. I don’t think anyone will say that so openly. I am at work, I am feeling guilty; I am at home, there’s a lot of guilt that I am not completing a lot of things that I used to normally do. Recalling the moment when she was told that she’s going to be a mom, Ekta Kapoor revealed her reaction, “When I knew that the surrogate had conceived, and it was on June 7. On my birthday I got to know. I was a bit overwhelmed. I was like 'Okay this is happening. This is going to be a huge responsibility. I just wrote a show out which is going to be with an A-list Bollywood actress. It's called Mentalhood. It's about motherhood and every time we did the scripting about the Momzillas and the pressure you go through, the guilt you go through, tiger moms, helicopter moms, I was constantly feeling overwhelmed. But now I have realised that I have a lot of guilt even now.”
Announcing the arrival of Ravie Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor shared on social media, "By God’s grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added in my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby’s birth has made me. Everything in life doesn’t go the way you want it to but there are always solutions to those hiccups. I found mine and today I feel immensely blessed to become a parent. It is an emotional moment for me and my family and I can’t wait to begin this new journey of being a mother to my little bundle of joy, Ravie Kapoor."
