The popular sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most-loved and watched daily soaps in the history of Indian television. However, in recent months, the show’s producer, Asit Modi, operations head, Sohail Ramani and executive producer, Jatin Bajaj have been leading the headlines for terrible accusations. In addition, the overall reputation of the show has been affected after Jennifer Mistry Bansiwala, who used to play ‘Mrs Roshan Sodhi’ in the show, accused Asit Modi of sexual harassment.
Now, just weeks after her shocking revelation, Monika Bhadoriya has opened up about the ill treatment she experienced while working on the show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actress portrayed the character, ‘Bawri’, in the show and garnered immense love and praise from the audiences.

However, after some time, Monika Bhadoriya left the show back in 2019, due to some conflict with the show’s producer, Asit Modi and other important people in the production. In a conversation with the Hindustan Times, Monika revealed how Asit Modi tortured her and didn’t clear her dues equated to around Rs. 4-5 lakhs.
Sharing more about her time on the show, Monika Bhadoriya revealed how the show’s producer, Asit Modi told her to report on the set despite knowing the fact that her mother passed away due to cancer. The actress shared that Asit Modi’s team called her and said that they were paying her money, which was why it was her duty to come on the sets whenever they called her. Not only this, but Asit Modi also called himself ‘God’, as per Monika. Recalling the same, she stated:
"His (Asit Modi) team said, ‘Hum aapko paisa de rahe hai, hum jab chahe aap ko khada hona padega chahe aap ki Mummy admit ho ya koi.’ He (Asit) says ‘I’m a God’."

Further in the same interview, Monika Bhadoriya also talked about the pay she was getting while working on the show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for playing the role of ‘Bawri’. The actress shared that she was highly underpaid and was getting just Rs. 30,000. She also added how the producer, Asit Modi and others told her that they would hike her fee after some months, but it never happened. Not only this, Monika also revealed that she was treated no lesser than a dog while she was working on the show. She said:
"They had promised me to hike my fee after six months, but they never did. Wo paise ki beimaani karti hai. Sach mein wo kutte ki jaisa treat karte hain. Unhone mere saath bohot ganda behave kiya hai."

Another shocking revelation that Monika Bhadoriya made in her groundbreaking interview with HT is that she recalled the time when the show’s executive producer, Sohail Ramani abused the late actor, Ghanshyam Nayak. The shocking revelation has broken the hearts of the show’s million fans, as the veteran actor was one of the most loved actors on the show. Even today, every TMKOC fan misses ‘Naatu Kaka’ presence in the show. Opening up about how Sohail abused him, Monika shared:
"Their EP Sohil Ramani is the worst. Bohot badtameez hai wo. Unhone toh Natttu kaka ko bhi abuse kiya tha."
