Mukesh Ambani Sells A Fourth Floor Condo Worth USD 9 Million In New York City [Deets Inside]

As per multiple reports, an entity tied to Mukesh Ambani sold a USD 9 million worth residence in Manhattans West Village in New York City.

One of the wealthiest men in the business world, Mukesh Ambani and his family are known for their affluent lifestyle. From the ladies of his house gracing various events in luxurious ensembles to each family member owning some of the luxurious possessions, the Ambanis indeed have a rich class of their own. Like swanky cars, outfits, accessories and many other materialistic possessions, the Ambanis also have luxurious houses in their collection. However, recently Mukesh sold his New York City house for a whopping amount of USD 9 million for reasons best known to him.

Ae per multiple reports, an entity tied to the Ambanis sold a USD 9 million worth residence in Manhattan’s West Village in New York City. The reports also claimed that the fourth-floor condo was located at 400 W. 12th St., in the West Village, otherwise known as Superior Ink, where eminent personalities used to have homes from generation after generation. The list of residents includes Hilary Swank, Nascar’s Jimmie Johnson, designer, Marc Jacobs and billionaire, Leslie Alexander. They paid USD 25.46 million for the penthouse and sold it at USD 31.5 million, to the space tourist, Mark Shuttleworth in 2010. Not only that, the new buyer of the house is Jenny Lenz of Dolly Lenz Real Estate.

Talking about the million-dollar worth residence in New York City, it has two bedrooms, which can be converted to three with Hudson River views, and three-and-a-half bathrooms. Alongside it, the luxurious house has 10-foot-high ceilings, herringbone hardwood floors, noise-proof windows and a kitchen. Moreover, it boasts amenities like a children’s playroom, a yoga/Pilates room, a bike room, and many more. It was in 2009, when it was launched, converting it from the Superior Ink Factory in 1919. The 17-story building, is designed in an eco-friendly design by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and the interiors were done by Yabu Pushelberg.

Mukesh Ambani, his wife, Nita Ambani and their children live in their palatial abode, Antilia, located on South Mumbai’s Altamount Road. The quintessential home, Antilia is estimated to be the world's second most expensive property after London’s prestigious Buckingham Palace. The heavenly 27-storey skyscraper costs an estimated $1-2 billion. In addition, the home, designed by Chicago-based architects, Perkins and Will, and constructed by an Australian-based construction company, Leighton Holdings, reaches 570 feet with over 400,000 square feet of interior space against the Mumbai skyline. The architectural design of Antilia makes it strong enough to survive an earthquake of 8 on the Richter scale.

Nita Ambani

The architectural design is based on lotus and sun, and the top six floors of Ambani’s home have been set aside as the private full-floor residential area. Antilia comes with a mega-temple, a host of guest suites, lounges, a salon, an ice-cream parlour and a private movie theatre to accommodate 50 people. The other six floors are dedicated to the garage space, which has the capacity to accommodate 168 cars and has a dedicated car service station on the seventh floor. Antilia also has 9 high-speed elevators, each assigned to different floors and purposes.
