Munawar Faruqui has been one of the most buzzed-about contestant in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss 17. The comedian upon entering the show, created a storm with his game plan. Moreover, things began to take a U-turn when his ex-girlfriend, Ayesha Khan also joined the show and made some shocking accusations against him, thereby bringing his personal life to the limelight.
The recent episode of Bigg Boss 17 featured the press and media personnel entering the show, as they grilled the contestants on their game plan and responses throughout the show. Well, many participants were required to respond to some poignant questions about their choices in the show, and Munawar Faruqui was one of them too. In a promo video of the upcoming episode, a journalist can be seen labelling him as a womaniser, due to the plethora of allegations made about him by his ex-girlfriends. Responding to it all, Munawar gave a witty reply and said:
“Bigg Boss ne yaha teen makaan basaye aur mere 2 ujaad diye.”

Despite Munawar’s history of past relationships and breakups, it was during his journey inside the BB House that he came quite close to his co-contestant, Mannara Chopra. In fact, in one of the episodes, the latter even admitted on the national television about liking Munawar and having feelings for him. However, a few days back, during a task set up by Salman Khan on the weekly Weekend Ka Vaar episode, the duo headed for a heated exchange of words, post which Munawar blatantly asked Mannara to get over him. The conversation between them can be heard as:
“Munawar: “Mannara Vicky bhai bolte hai humaari patang hai to I agree. Jab tak koi dor na ho kisi ke haath, Mannara direction nahi leti”
Mannara: “Jo patange yahan bana rahe hai woh hum sab ko dikh raha hai.”
Munawar: “Mannara get over me.”
In yet another previous episode of Bigg Boss 17, Munawar Faruqui’s ex-girlfriend, Ayesha Khan made some serious allegations against him. The then-wild card entrant to the show, Ayesha claimed that Munawar hasn’t shown his real side on the show, and added that he had cheated her by two-timing with someone else all this while. Moreover, she accused him of making a false promise of marriage to his other girlfriend, while still being in a relationship with her.

While he may be a renowned comedian and rapper, who has succeeded professionally, life wasn’t really a bed of roses right from the beginning for Munawar Faruqui. Talking about the same, in a previous interview with Mashable India, he revealed facing a lot of financial struggles and burdened under a massive debt through a significant part of his life. Recalling how he used to sell samosas and ended up abandoning his education, Munawar said:
“My mother and grandmother would make samosas at home, and I started a stall outside our house where I’d fry them up and sell them. It was a struggle. I burned my fingers, had hot oil splutter on me. But I became a pro with time, and this business worked.”
