On September 12, 2021, Munmun Dutta had taken to her Instagram handle and addressed all the fake rumours. She slammed the trollers and media for spreading false news. She even called out gossipmongers for spreading false news in the name of a person. She had written:
"To the general public, I had far better expectations from you. But the FILTH that you have showered in the comment section, even from the so-called 'LITERATE' ones, proves how regressive a society we are."
Munmun's note further read how women are constantly age-shamed, slut shamed, and mom-shamed in the name of humour. She also added that this humour can drive someone to a mental breakdown. She expressed her anger on how she has been entertaining the audience in the last thirteen years and it didn't take them 13 minutes to rip her dignity apart.
Congratulations, Munmun and Raj!
