However, maintaining such high standards needs overflowing bank accounts, and not having one sometimes leads to mysterious circumstances.
Here is a list of celebrities from the glamour and glitz world, who had died under mysterious situations in the past years, leaving their fans, friends and family in shock. These B-town celebs were loved and adored by everyone, and even so many years after their demise, they have been treasured in our hearts forever. One of the legendary actresses of Bollywood, Sridevi, who was the recipient of five Filmfare Awards, had left for the heavenly abode on February 24, 2018, leaving her daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, her husband, Boney Kapoor and her massive fan base heartbroken. It was during her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding when she was found unconscious in her hotel's bathtub in UAE by Boney. Soon the speculations regarding her death had spread like a forest fire.
The actress' post-mortem reports had revealed the cause of her death as "accidental drowning". However, what actually might have happened that night remains an unsolved mystery. The 54-year-old actress' mortal remains were flown from Dubai to Mumbai on February 27, followed by a funeral on February 28.

The teenage star, Divya Bharti was often referred to as Sridevi's lookalike, and looking at what destiny had planned for her was also similar to the legendary actress. Unfortunately, the young girl who had won millions of hearts with her chirpy performances and sprightly innocence breathed her last on April 5, 1993. Reportedly, Divya had fallen from the fifth floor of her apartment in Versova, Mumbai, which had immediately led to the spot death of the-then budding star.
Divya Bharti was allegedly having dinner with her friend Neeta Lulla and Neeta's husband when this mysterious incident had happened. Rumours were rife that she was intoxicated, and when she had gone to the balcony, she had lost grip and had fallen down. However, there were rumours in the media that the actress had committed suicide or was pushed by someone.
As soon as the incident had happened, Divya Bharti was immediately rushed to the Cooper hospital. Doctors had mentioned the cause of her death as "heavy internal bleeding at the back of the head" which was severely injured. However, her body was released on April 7, 1993, and the funeral had also taken place on the same day. The Mumbai Police had finally closed the investigation into Divya's death in 1998. However, what the Bollywood industry had lost, that void would never be fulfilled.

Parveen Babi was one such iconic Indian actress known for her unconventional western looks and Bohemian style in the 70s. She was also the first Bollywood star to become the cover of Time magazine in 1976 with her exceptional personality and fashion sense. However, Parveen's death is still an unsolved mystery since her body was found at her Juhu home on January 23, 2005.
In those years, Parveen Babi was also hitting the headlines for her relationship news with many of her co-stars like Mahesh Bhatt, Kabir Bedi and Danny Denzongpa to name a few. However, allegedly, the actress had died by committing suicide and reportedly, she had paranoid schizophrenia, which was due to her excessive alcoholism and failed relationships.
As per media reports, after Parveen's death, her body was lying in her residence for three days, and it was found only when her neighbours noticed that she hadn't come out to collect milk or newspapers. Soon after that, the police had determined from the post-mortem report that Parveen Babi's death was caused due to multiple organ failures.
June 14, 2020, is marked as a black day in the history of Indian cinema as the young actor, Sushant Singh Rajput had breathed his last on this day at his Mumbai residence. Soon after Sushant's death, his pictures were circulated widely on social media, creating a rumpus in the entire Hindi film industry. Many instances of nepotism had even surfaced in the media, hinting toward the cause behind Sushant's fateful death.
However, Sushant Singh Rajput's demise was reported to be by suicide at his sixth-floor apartment in West Bandra, Mumbai. However, no such "suicide note" was found at his residence. Following his mysterious death, the NCB had also brought out many drug rackets in front of the media. Actress, Rhea Chakraborty, who was allegedly in a relationship with him, was also accused as a prime suspect. However, the case linked to the actor's death is still ongoing.
Vijayalakshmi Vadlapati, aka Silk Smitha, was one of the bold yet glamorous divas from the South Film Industry who had proved her exceptional acting prowess in more than 450 movies in a career spanning just 17 years. Though her professional life was riding high, on September 23, 1996, Smitha's dead body was found at her Chennai residence. The exact reason behind her death is still unknown. However, reportedly she was battling a lonely life and severe depression, which had led her to commit suicide.
Allegedly, prior to committing suicide, Silk Smitha had called her best friend, Anuradha, to discuss something about her personal life. However, before Anuradha had arrived, Smitha had already taken the fatal step. But Smitha's sudden and mysterious demise is still a mystery to millions of her fans.

Indian actor, producer and director, Guru Dutt is one of the few artists in Bollywood, who was part of many classics such as Chaudhvin Ka Chand, Pyaasa, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam and Kaagaz Ke Phool. However, on October 10, 1964, he was found dead in his rented apartment at Pedder Road in Mumbai.
Reportedly, it was Guru Dutt's disturbed marriage and separation from his wife, Geeta Dutt, which had led him to intake a tremendous amount of alcohol mixed with sleeping pills. But interestingly, Guru was found with no signs of depression even a day before his demise. And this had remained an unsolved mystery for the 34-year-old actors' death, whether it was a suicide or accident.
Ghajini fame, Nafisa Rizvi Khan, aka Jiah Khan, had featured in a few Bollywood films from 2007 to 2010. However, on June 3, 2013, the gorgeous British-American actress was found hanging with a ceiling fan in her Mumbai residence.
Mahesh Bhatt, whose name had also hit the headlines after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise for his insensitive remarks, his old video clip with Jiah Khan was also doing the rounds on social media. The video had shown Jiah sitting comfortably with Mahesh Bhatt, which had generated a massive amount of negative remarks towards him. Some had even called him creepy for his behaviour. However, same as Sushant, Mahesh had also accepted that he had met Jiah in 2018, before her suicide. According to an ETimes report, Mahesh had claimed that Jiah Khan had approached him for work before allegedly taking her life, however, he could not give her any such work then.
Afterwards, Aditya Pancholi's son, Sooraj Pancholi who was allegedly in a live-in relationship with Jiah Khan, was also taken into police custody for promoting her suicide. This was when on June 7, 2013, a six-page "suicide note" written by Jiah before committing the suicide, was found by her sister, where Jiah had directly accused Suraj.
Three years later, on August 1, 2016, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had finally declared the cause of Jiah Khan's death as "suicide by hanging". However, her mother, Rabia Amin, had then hired a British forensic expert who had retorted that Jiah's suicide was staged and there were shreds of evidence like marks on her face and neck, which had indicated something more than just suicide.
The sudden demise of the beautiful actors has left a void in Bollywood forever. And their sudden demise had left their fans, family and friends in utter shock.
