Kalyan Navratri Celebration: Malaika Arora Attends First Public Event After Her Father's Suicide

Malaika Arora has been through a lot in the last month. Her father, Anil Mehta, passed away in a shocking turn of events. According to reports, he jumped from the balcony of his home. The moment the news came out, it was Arbaaz Khan, Malaika's ex-husband, who rushed to the actress' parents' home. While it was a tough time for the family, Malaika is re-starting her work.

Malaika Arora made a jaw-dropping entry at Kalyan's Navratri celebration

On October 4, 2024, Malaika marked her graceful presence at Kalyan Jewellers annual Navratri celebration. Kalyan, who is hailed as India's top jewellers, every year hosts a grand Navratri celebration which is attended by A-listers from Bollywood and South Industry. For the event, Malaika was dressed up in a gorgeous white-hued lehenga with golden border.

Malaika's dupatta was draped as a pallu, and she beautifully hid the low-cut design of her sheer blouse. Subtle makeup with bold red lips, a tiny bindi, and hair tied in a bun completed her look. Malaika posed beautifully for the camera. We also spotted Rashmika Mandanna and Shilpa Shetty, marking their attendance.

When Malaika Arora's father, Anil Mehta, called up his daughters before falling off from the balcony

According to a report by India TV, a source revealed that before taking such a drastic step, Anil Mehta had called both his daughter, Malaika and Amrita. If reports are to be believed, Anil Mehta had told his daughters, 'I'm tired', on the phone. The call was made just before dying by suicide, but later a close source dismissed all such buzz. It is also important to note that Malaika's mother was present in the house when the incident happened. 

Talking about the incident, Joyce revealed that her ex-husband, Anil, had no illness except knee pain (due to old age). She further shared that she found Anil's slippers in the living room and then went to look for him in the balcony as he would read the newspaper there. However, when she was not able to find him, she leaned from the balcony and saw watchman screaming for help. Currently, police have been investigating the matter.

On September 11, 2024, Malaika shared first note after her father's demise. In the picture note, we can see her father's monochrome photo. Along with it, Malaika informed about her father's untimely passing. She called him a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and their best friend. Malaika added that their family is in deep shock. 

Malaika further requested privacy from the media and their well-wishers in these difficult times. She signed off the note with the entire Arora family's name and even included he families furbabies, Casper, Axl, Duffy and Buddy. Her note can be read as:

"We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by the loss, and we  kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult times. We appreciate your understanding, support and respect."

Well, Malaika's eyes clearly shows how she has been trying her best to get back to her normal life!
