Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged on August 8, 2024, in an intimate ceremony. It was Naga's father, Nagarjuna, who announced the news of the duo's engagement on social media. Now, everyone is eagerly waiting for Chay and Sobhita's wedding, and the former has finally dropped a major hint about the same.
On August 27, 2024, Naga Chaitanya made a public appearance at an event and was seen dressed like a groom, which grabbed much attention. In a video doing rounds on social media, the actor looked dapper in a white-hued sherwani as he arrived in a swanky white car decorated with flowers. Chay was accompanied by band-baaja, and the dhol beats echoed in the background.

During an interaction at the event, Naga Chaitanya made his first remark about his wedding with his fiancee, Sobhita Dhulipala. Answering the most important question, the actor assured his fans that he would reveal the date and other details of his wedding very soon. He also expressed his joy about finding his perfect life partner. As per a Telugu Cinema report, Chay said:
“I am super happy that I met my partner and very soon I will disclose all the wedding details.”
According to several reports in Telugu outlets, including News18 Telugu, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala could get married at the end of the year. Otherwise, the duo might exchange their vows in March 2025. The report further added that though Chay and Sobhita haven't finalised a wedding venue, their first preference is Rajasthan, and they are also looking at destinations in Madhya Pradesh and even abroad.

Earlier, in an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna was asked about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala's wedding date. Responding to it, the superstar stated that the duo had a hurried engagement as August 8 was an auspicious day. He added that Chay and Sobhita have decided to marry each other, and the family has agreed, but there is no rush. He was quoted as saying:
"Not immediately, Subhash. Like I told you, we chose to have a hurried engagement because it was an auspicious day, and since Chay and Sobhita are very sure that they want to marry, we said, Let’s do it."
