Samantha Ruth Prabhu tied the knot with Naga Chaitanya in a lavish wedding in 2017. The much-in-love duo made everyone believe in fairytales with their mushy romance and adorable camaraderie. However, destiny had its own plans, and the couple soon split, leaving everyone shocked. Samantha and Chaitanya officially got divorced in 2021. However, they never openly discussed the reason behind their split.
Recently, we stumbled upon an old video of Naga Chaitanya, wherein the actor admitted to having two-timed in his romantic relationships in life. During a promotional event for one of his films, when Chay was asked if he had ever cheated in a relationship, he responded affirmatively. The actor laughed and said:
"Everyone should experience everything in life. That's when you grow up and figure out, Okay, I've had all experiences; now it's time to settle down."

As soon as the video surfaced online, many netizens criticised Naga Chaitanya. Meanwhile, some social media users also rallied in Samantha Ruth Prabhu's support and expressed anger at her ex-husband's revelations. A user wrote, "Good for her and he got exactly what he deserved," while another mentioned, "You could count on 1 hand the number of film personalities who haven't had publicised instances of red flag behaviour."

Earlier, Samantha Ruth Prabhu dropped a video of her latest podcast, wherein she talked about her morning routine on her IG handle. The diva shared that she does meditation, pranayama, and tapping for her well-being. Taking to the post's comment section, a fan asked Samantha why she cheated on her now ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya, and wrote, "Btw tell me why you cheated on your innocent husband." While Samantha was not prepared for such a question about her personal life, she gave an epic reply. The actress penned:
"@vishalkadam166 sorry these practises might not help you..you might need something stronger :) Wish you well."

It was in 2021 when rumours started cropping in Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's life as the duo was having troubles in their marriage. And finally, four days before their fourth wedding anniversary, Samantha and Chaitanya released an official statement about ending their marriage, leaving their massive fanbase shattered. When Samantha appeared in one of the episodes of Koffee With Karan 7, the host, Karan Johar, asked her whether she and her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya, had hard feelings for each other. The actress confirmed it and said:
“There are hard feelings like if you put the both of us in a room you have to hide sharp objects. So as of now, yes. It's not an amicable situation right now. It might be in the future."
