Your baby’s every first occasion or milestone is worth celebrating. And when it comes to the first festivals, it becomes even more important to celebrate as a baby starts to absorb them. Ishqbaaaz fame, Nakuul Mehta and his wife, Jankee Parekh Mehta’s baby boy, Sufi, is six months old and the star parents ensure to teach him about every festival and occasion. Raksha Bandhan is around the corner, Nakuul and Jankee’s son celebrated it for the first time with his cousin sister.
For the unversed, on February 3, 2021, Nakuul Mehta and Jankee Parekh Mehta had welcomed a baby boy. The star parents had announced the news of their first child’s birth by sharing the first glimpse of their newborn. To announce the good news, Nakuul and Jankee had captioned their posts as "February 3, 2021 This is Us Grateful and sleepy in equal measure. *Ing: @jank_ee/@nakuulmehta & Him" respectively.

A few hours back, taking to her IG stories, Jankee Parekh Mehta shared a glimpse of her baby boy, Sufi’s first Rakhi celebrations. She shared a picture of her niece, holding rakhis in her hands and behind her was a blackboard with “Ayrra Happy Rakhshabandhan Sufi” written over it with white chalk. Sharing the picture, Jankee wrote, “Early rakhi celebrations with Ayrra jiji” atop it.
On August 21, 2021, Jankee Parekh shared a Reel on her IG handle, giving a glimpse of her baby boy, Sufi's first Raksha Bandhan celebration. From his bua and Ayra jiji coming to their home to Nakuul and Sufi twinning in green kurtas or the Mehta family posing for pictures, the Reel was all about their family's love. Sharing the same, Jankee wrote, "Early Rakhi celebrations at the Mehta Pad! Thank you Kachu Bua and Ayrra jiji for making Sufi’s first Rakshabandhan so special. Hoping their bond continues to become stronger with every passing year."
On the occasion of Independence Day 2021, Jankee had celebrated the day of pride with Sufi by narrating to him the story of independence. She had also taught him that the fight for independence is long and Sufi will also have to fight in this world of social media. Jankee had captioned the video as “Tales to Sufi | Happy Independence Day Introducing Sufi and all 'our' children to India and the privileges and responsibilities of truly being an Indian. Thank you @ajax.singh for your beautiful words.”

Not just Rakhi, Jankee Parekh and Nakuul Mehta had also celebrated Sufi’s first Eid. Jankee had taken to her IG handle to post a cute video with Sufi. In the video, Jankee had shared the story of Eid in a beautiful prose with her baby boy, Sufi. At the end of the tale, Sufi also got his first Eidi from Jankee, who had made him do salaam and had wished him on his first Eid. Jankee had captioned the video as “Why do we celebrate Eid & will @babysufim earn his first Eidi?”
On the occasion of Valentine's Day, Jankee had revealed her baby boy's unique name. She had posted a video on her Instagram handle, where she was donning a pastel-coloured dress, while Nakuul had opted for a casual ensemble. Alongside it, Jankee had revealed her son's cute name story. It could be read as "Sufi. A name that we decided when I was 3 months pregnant for our to-be firstborn, irrespective of the gender. Sufi symbolises spirituality, art, philosophy, literature, soul, song and everything that we stand for. From the time you were born, you have filled up our lives and hearts with so much love & we just can’t get enough of you. Mamma & Dadaa love you. #myforevervalentine @babysufim."
On the work front, Nakuul Mehta will be next seen in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2.
