Nana Patekar Reveals Amitabh Bachchan's Adorable Reaction On Becoming Navya Naveli's Grandfather

Amitabh Bachchan is back with an all-new season of the popular quiz reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. The superstar has been hosting the show for years and continues to delight the audience with interesting anecdotes from his personal life. Big B often talks about his early days, his experience in the film industry and much more. And this time, Nana Patekar reveals how the superstar celebrated the birth of his first granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda.

For the unversed, Navya Naveli Nanda is Amitabh Bachchan's eldest grandchild from his daughter, Shweta Bachchan. Agastya Nanda is his other grandchild from Shweta, followed by Aaradhya Bachchan from his son, Abhishek Bachchan. It is said that all of Amitabh's grandkids are extremely close to him, and they all share an exceptional bond.

There is no superior feeling other than becoming a grandparent, as the one feels is unmatched. The recent episode of KBC featured the star cast of Vanvaas — Nana Patekar, Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, and writer-director, Anil Sharma. Wherein Nana revealed that when they were shooting for Kohram, Amitabh Bachchan came onto the sets one day and started distributing sweets to all the cast and crew members. When Nana asked him the occasion, Amitabh Bachchan proudly declared that his daughter, Shweta, delivered a baby girl and he is now a 'Nana'.

“We were shooting for the movie Kohram (1999), and one day, Amit ji came and was distributing sweets to everyone. I asked him, 'What’s the occasion?' and he said, 'My daughter just had a baby, main Nana ban gaya hu!'" 

After congratulating Amitabh Bachchan, Nana Patekar cracked a joke stating that it took Amitabh Bachchan so many years to become 'nana'. When Nana Pateka has been a 'nana' since birth. In Nana's words:

“Kitne saal lag gaye, main toh janam se Nana hu."

Amitabh Bachchan, in yet another episode of KBC, shared that his granddaughter, Navya Naveli, is independent and earns her own money. Amitabh Bachchan also added that his granddaughter, Navya, also works for women's welfare, and she recently set up an NGO with her own funds. He said:

"My granddaughter ( Navya Naveli) does this individually from her own earnings. She isn't working for the Government but has been taking up these initiatives on her own. Recently, she set up an NGO with her own funds, the organization makes homes for women and gives all the facilities and everything that the women need."

Navya Naveli Nanda's professional front

Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda is a Fordham University graduate. She is also the co-founder of a healthcare portal, Aara Health, which focuses on the health and hygiene of women in rural areas. Navya Naveli Nanda also runs a famous podcast show, What The Hell Navya, which has successfully completed two seasons. Navya, often hailed for her gorgeous looks, decided to stay away from acting just like her mother, Shweta Bachchan Nanda. She is also pursuing MBA from IIM Ahemadabad.
