Nandish Sandhu rose to fame, most notably, after his stint in the Hindi serial, Uttaran, back in 2009. His on-screen character of ‘Veer Singh Bundela’, tugged the chords of several hearts and within no time, the actor became a household name. However, the particular show became special for Nandish because it led him to find his life-partner, Rashami Desai. The ex-couple got hitched in 2012, and were known as one of the most-adored couples in the television world. Unfortunately, due to irreconcilable differences, they parted ways in 2015.
It has been many years since Nandish and Rashami got divorced. Both the actors have moved on in their respective lives, and are doing exceptionally well in their professional lives. In a recent interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Nandish spoke about their divorce and called it a matured decision that they undertook mutually. He revealed how things didn’t work out between them for the longest time, and their basic personalities were vastly different. In his words:
“I think it was a wise decision on both our parts that we mutually decided to go our separate ways. Things were not working out in terms of our thought processes. Our thoughts, our visions, our temperament was not the same, so I think we just hurried into it. We were young then, not very wise. Compatibility came into the picture when we started living together after getting married, and we realised that we were not compatible.”

Moving forth in the revelation, Nandish remembered the difficult phase of his life he had to endure after his divorce, since a lot of incorrect things were being said about him. Moreover, he added how everyone sort of pointed fingers at him and hailed him as a culprit, making him feel cornered. Nandish mentioned:
“When the separation happened, I felt everybody was pointing fingers at me. Everyone was looking at me like a culprit. There were things being said about me, that I was physically abusive, I was a cassanova. I started feeling cornered. And it took a toll on my professional decisions too.”
Towards the concluding segment of the interaction, Nandish Sandhu was asked to reveal the current equation he shares with his ex-wife, Rashami Desai. He clearly mentioned that the two of them were not friends, as he was hurt by the manner of things she said about him in the media. Nandish added:
“We are not friends because I felt a little hurt about certain things that she said in interviews, and I thought that when I am maintaining dignity, then there is no point in talking about this. I have never said anything bad about it.”

Previously, during an interview with Pinkvilla, Rashami Desai spilled beans on what actually went wrong in her marriage with ex-husband, Nandish Sandhu. She added realising later, how it is important to protest against the wrong things in life, but she couldn’t do it over her fear of losing people. Moreover, she added that she wanted to end the marriage, since their clashes kept on dragging a lot more.
