Talented entrepreneur and Executive Director of the Serum Institute of India, Natasha Poonawalla needs no introduction. But apart from her business moves, the boss lady has grabbed attention tremendously for some of her most unique and glamorous sartorial picks. Keeping up with the tradition, she graced Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, clad in a custom lehenga from the shelves of ace-designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. According to fashion critic, Diet Sabya, this piece of attire took months to be handcrafted.

The lehenga, with a base colour of white, is inspired by the sehra, an integral part of Indian weddings. Natasha's handcrafted attire brings up an amalgamation of various fabrics from across the world, including Farshi and Zardozi from Awadh, Banarasi brocade from Varanasi, Bandhani of Kutch and Dhakai from Bangladesh. Her choli consisted of intricate tassel work, while her dupatta, draped on one side, had a long trail. Moreover, the neckline of her outfit is adorned with a breastplate like design, embedded with precious stones, giving it a royal touch.
To complete her look, Natasha Poonawalla opted for a number of statement ethnic accessories. This included a chic and layered pearl neckpiece, a maang teeka, heavy chandbaalis, haathphools, stacks of rings and bangles. Moreover, Natasha's vintage headgear was actually her grandmother’s wedding neckpiece, that she re-styled as a hair accessory. It is adorned with intricate meenakari work and is gold-toned. A low ponytail, and glam makeup completed Natasha’s look.

Known as a true-blue fashionista, Natasha Poonawalla has been a part of various international events, including the Met Gala, where she has served some of the most timeless looks. For instance, back in 2023, Natasha wore a silver-hued, spiked Schiaparelli gown. The outfit had mirror finish all over it, and its bodice with two spikes resembled the look of a cat’s ears. She completed her look with a sleek ponytail and subtle makeup.
