Navya Naveli Nanda, the daughter of Shweta Bachchan and granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan, has made a mark of her own in the entertainment industry. Although she has not entertained showbiz, Navya enjoys a huge fanbase and her podcast, What The Hell Navya? , has been a hit with two successful seasons. Navya is following in her father, Nikhil Nanda's footsteps, and has joined her family business. Recently, the youngster added yet another feather to her cap as she got admission in the prestigious IIM Ahmedabad in an MBA course.
On September 1, 2024, Navya Nanda shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram account and shared with the world that she is starting an MBA course at the prestigious IIM Ahmedabad. While people in large numbers congratulated her achievement, some even questioned her integrity and expressed their suspicion over her getting admission to a tier-one college.
Sharing their doubt over Navya's admission in IIM, a user wrote, "Just a curious question. Did you write CAT to get in to this program?" While another netizen penned, "Congratulations!! How did you get admission for this course in IIM? It is very difficult to get admission in this institute. Are you going to reside here in the hostel?" Navya's comment section was filled with netizens expressing their suspicion over her admission, and the entrepreneur finally reacted.
Navya Nanda is rarely seen answering back trolls, but this time around, she was not happy with the number of questions she got after her admission in IIM. The star kid took to her IG stories and shared a picture of her cutting a cake and celebrating her IIM acceptance. On top of that, Navya was also seen liking the comments of her fans who were defending her. In a comment one netizen wrote, "Wondering… Why do people think the celebrity can't crack the entrance…. if someone is born into a renowned family, it doesn't mean they can't achieve academic excellence. We should never pull down anybody without knowing the facts. Hope her learning journey does wonder to the country".
In a previous interview with the Hindustan Times, Navya was asked about her potential Bollywood debut, similar to her brother, Agastya Nanda. In her response, she firmly dismissed the idea, stating that she comes from a business-oriented family and has never aspired to pursue acting. Her clear and respectful stance on this matter is a testament to her individuality and deserves understanding and respect from her audience. She said:
"Well, I also come from a business family too. So, I was very clear that (I don't want to join acting and do this). At the end of college, I realised that this is what I wanted to do."
