The young entrepreneur remarked that as a child, she grew up in Delhi, which is close to her father and paternal grandfather’s business establishment, and not in Mumbai, which is the hub of cinema. She wittily added that as a kid, all she would hear were stories about tractors and stock markets, that eventually set sail her passion. In her words:

“I actually have a great lineage from both sides and my father’s side has been in the business industry for four generations now, I am the fourth generation of the family. I’ve grown up in Delhi, I grew up around my father and my grandfather who are businessmen and industrialists. I think for me that’s what I saw more of growing up as a kid. I wasn’t around sets or films and glamour growing up. It was very much stock markets and my father coming back and talking to me about tractors, which is what we do. That for me is where the passion lies.”

She admitted being brought up in a privileged background, which placed on her a considerably easy opportunity, with her parents providing relentless financial support. Moreover, she emphasised how important was for her to carve her own individual identity. She said:
“Because I come from a very privileged background, I had the opportunity to do it. My family supported me financially, I had access to a lot of opportunities which people don’t get. So for me to be able to do what I am doing at the age I am doing it is an advantage of where I come from. I had utmost gratitude and respect for that. Because I don’t think I would have been able to reach here so soon. I would have still been able to, because I am an ambitious person, but not as fast. Creating an identity has always been very important for me.”
In the same interaction, Navya talked about how much she becomes annoyed, seeing people’s shocked reaction over her speaking Hindi fluently. The starlet expressed that it is bare minimum for a person to know their national language, and in her case, she is no different.
