Nawazuddin Siddiqui has often tried to keep his personal life private. However, the ups and downs in his marriage with his wife, Aaliya, often made headlines. The couple had separated several times in the past and had filed for divorce. However, they reconciled in March. Recently, the Kick actor appeared in the recent episode of podcast, The Ranveer Show, where he spoke at length and shared his skeptical perspective on marriage and love.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared his opinions regarding art, acting, addiction, and other life struggles in the podcast. During the conversation, host, Ranveer Allahabadia asked Nawazuddin if one should get married or not. In response, Nawaz gave an unexpected answer. He added there is no need to get married when two people love each other. He added that love starts to fade away after tying the knot. He was quoted as saying:
"They shouldn't. What is the need to get married? If you are in love, it can prosper even without marriage. After marriage, people start taking each other for granted. If you are not married to each other, then you love each other more.But after marriage, that starts diminishing."

There is a common perception in society that one should get married in their 20s for happiness. But Nawaz dismissed this claim and added that society makes people think that way. The Raees actor said that people think love or marriage will give happiness. However, after a while, only work gives true happiness. He made these statements when his marriage with his wife has been full of ups and downs.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui married his wife, Aaliya, in 2009. However, in 2020, she announced that she was seeking a divorce. She had accused Nawaz of being an irresponsible father and threatening her. On the other hand, Nawazuddin posted an open letter claiming that her allegations were 'manipulated' and 'one-sided.' After separating a few times, the couple reconciled in March and celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary. Aaliya revealed that they reconciled for the sake of their children. She said:
"There's no option of being apart in life now, because the kids are also growing up. Also, Nawaz is very close to Shora (daughter) and she was very disturbed after whatever happened. She couldn't tolerate it. So we decided that we are not going to fight and will live together, peacefully."

In another recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Nawazuddin opened up about how he was often criticised for his looks and people used to ask him why he came to be an actor. But the Lunchbox actor shared that he has become thick-skinned to criticism for his looks. Nawaz feels that people notice and admire your looks post-stardom. He revealed that many people now admire his looks after he got successful.
