The veteran actress Neena Gupta has been challenging society with her different approach to life from a young age. In the '90s, when single parenting was considered a big 'no-no', Neena Gupta became a mother without tying the knot. When the world said she 'could not', she proved she 'could'. At the age of 52, Neena Gupta re-established herself in Bollywood with the film, Badhaai Ho.
On August 20, 2024, Neena Gupta was papped in the city. The veteran actress, who recently won a National Award as Best Supporting Actress, looked super gorgeous. She wore a red-hued T-shirt from Levis with a pair of denim shorts. She kept her look sporty with a side-sling bag and a pair of gum boots. Neena completed her look with no makeup and left her hair open.

While we loved how Neena Gupta is proving that her age is just a number for her, there were some netizens who didn't like her choice of clothing, and they openly expressed their opinions. However, there were some who defended the actress and came in favour of her. However, there were people who honestly didn't like her outfit. A netizen wrote, "I'm sry she is not looking good, not because she wears this but the dressing sense is not good." One of the users commented, "Masaba plz guide her- nai to Apka bhi fashion house khatrey mai." Another one wrote, "She looks 65 only.....koi chote kapde pehene se young nahi ban jata."
Neena Gupta has been a part of the film industry since the 1980s. While she has seen huge success, she has also seen tough times, when she didn't get her due credit. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Neena recalled an uncomfortable moment she witnessed during her career's early days. She shared that a director gave her maa-bhen ki gaaliya in front of everyone.
During the podcast with Ranveer, Neena Gupta shared her views on feminism and the concept of equality between men and women. The actress called feminism 'faltu' and revealed she doesn't believe in equal treatment, as they are not equal. She quoted a 'pregnancy' example and was quoted as saying:
"I want to say that it’s not necessary to believe in ‘faltu feminism’ (useless feminism) or the idea that ‘women are equal to men’. Instead, focus on achieving financial independence and giving attention to your work. If you’re a housewife, don’t look down on it; it’s an important role. Boost your self-esteem and avoid thinking of yourself as small. That’s the main message I want to convey. That apart, men and women are not equal. The day men start getting pregnant, that day we will be equal."
On a personal level, Neena Gupta is soon going to welcome her grandchild as her daughter, Masaba, is pregnant.
