Neena Gupta’s personal life has always been an open book. After many heartbreaks in her life, Neena had found solace in the arms of West Indies cricket team captain, Vivian Richards. She not just fell in love with an already married man but also gave birth to their love child, Masaba Gupta, out of wedlock.

In a recent interview with Humans of Bombay, Neena Gupta shared her views on love between a man and a woman. Revealing the only love she had ever felt in her life, Neena stated:
“I don't think there is anything called love between a man and a woman. It starts with lust and then If you get along, you become affectionate to each other and then, it becomes a habit. The only love that I have felt is for Masaba. I don't know other people might have felt, but mujhe nahi love samajh mein aata.”
In the same interview, Neena Gupta also revealed why she would not do anything for her husband as compared to the things she would do for her daughter, Masaba. Sharing details about the same, the Badhaai Ho actress stated:
“Ye sab wo lust hota hai shuru me, uske baad it can take any direction, you marry or you go to somebody else. It's only with a child that love I feel that I can do anything for me. For my husband I will do, I do a lot, but I will not do anything for him like I will do for Masaba.”

Earlier, in an interview with SpotboyE, Neena Gupta revealed that having Masaba was the best decision of her life. Revealing how she would like to change certain things if she gets to live her life again, Neena had said:
“Having Masaba is the best decision of my life. But if I had to live my life again I’d want to have a family and a husband to support my parenthood. I’d want the child’s father with me. Not so far away.”
Neena Gupta, who was last seen in the film, Uunchai got married to Delhi-based chartered accountant Vivek Mehra at the age of 49.
