Neena Gupta is an inspiration for many girls out there, who taught them that it is okay to never settle for less. In the times where embracing motherhood single-handedly was taboo, Neena Gupta was much ahead of her times. Neena had decided to be a single mother to her daughter, Masaba Gupta, who was born out of wedlock with her then-boyfriend, Vivian Richards.

Neena Gupta's personal life was full of controversies as she had given birth to her daughter while being in a relationship with former West Indian cricketer Vivian Richards in the 1980s. However, Richards was already married and did not want to leave his wife so Neena had decided to raise Masaba all on her own. It was in 2008 when Neena Gupta had tied the knot with a Delhi-based chartered accountant, Vivek Mehra. However, what separates Neena from the crowd is her unfiltered take on her personal life.
Neena Gupta has recently come up with an autobiography, titled Sach Kahun Toh. This autobiography of hers includes all her past experiences and relationships and how she has taken a lesson from every mistake that she had made and that has helped her to move on in life. Kareena Kapoor Khan launched her autobiography a few hours ago and Neena Gupta shared a video on her Instagram account where she is seen talking about her dilemma behind writing the book and how she had spent the prime years of her life in 'loneliness'.
Neena Gupta shared how she had spent 20 years of her life behind the thought of writing this book. However, it was the lockdown that had helped her to decide on writing this book. She shared that she has opened up about her past relationships in her book and also how she was dumped by a guy she was about to marry, without closure. She recalled, "I was on the verge of marriage with one man, who cancelled at the last minute while I was shopping in Delhi. Till today I don't know about what happened. But, what can I do? I moved on. I would have loved to get married to him."

She further added that she respected that person's family and used to live with them. She said, "I had a lot of respect for his father and mother. I was living in their house. he's going to read, he's alive and happily married and has children." She even shared that her relationship with Masaba Gupta's father, Vivian Richard's was a very distant one. She added, "Even with Vivian, he was far away, he had his own life. We met very seldom."
A few days ago, Neena Gupta and her husband, Vivek Mehra had appeared for an interview with ETimes for the first time. The duo had spilled the beans about their relationship and married life. Vivek Mehra had also shared that Neena Gupta's daughter, Masaba is very fond of him and they share a very good bond. He had said, "I am a likeable guy."
