Born on December 24, 1997, in the Khandra village, Panipat district, Haryana, Indian Javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra is the second Indian individual gold medalist in the history of Indian sports. Before him, it was sport shooter, Abhinav Bindra, who had brought a gold medal for India at Beijing Olympics in 2008. The 24-year-old athlete, Neeraj, had finished the tournament with his best attempt of 87.58m, ahead of Czech Republic's talented duo, Vitezslav Vesely and Jakub Vadlejch, and had made the entire nation proud.
For the uninitiated, it was in 2016 when Neeraj Chopra was appointed at the position of Junior Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army with the rank of 'Naib Subedar'. That is the reason why his historic win in Tokyo means a lot to the Indian Army. Although everyone is aware of Neeraj Chopra's professional life, his personal life often makes people curious as he is an extremely private and shy person. However, once in an interview, he had opened up about his marriage plans.

Soon after winning the gold medal in Tokyo Olympics 2021, in an interview with former Indian cricketer, Kapil Dev on ABP News, Neeraj Chopra had opened up about his personal life. When the legendary cricketer had told Neeraj that now the big pressure of marriage is also going to be on his head, hinting towards the massive fame and success he had received from all over the nation after his triumph. Answering this, Neeraj had given an exceptional reply that speaks everything about his champion mentality. The gold medalist had told Kapil Dev that he isn't thinking about marriage at the moment, as he is solely focused on his sports career. He had said:
"No I am focusing completely on sports. Rest all the things will go on, but I would want to keep my entire focus on sports right now."
Of course, this isn't the first time when Neeraj Chopra had spoken about his relationship status in the media. Soon after winning the gold medal in Tokyo Olympics 2021, in an interview with Times Now, the 24-year-old athlete was asked to share some details about his love life and whether he is seeing someone at the moment or not. Well, refuting all the rumours about his relationship, Neeraj had clearly stated that his career is his topmost priority at the moment. He had said:
"Will see later now my focus is on my game. There is no one now. It is great that I am getting so much love. The coming year is important with the Asian Games, World Championships, and then other tournaments leading to the Olympics again. So I want to focus on my game."

After bringing the Olympic gold medal home, Neeraj Chopra had bagged a lot of advertisements and had also appeared on some of the biggest reality shows in the country. During his appearances on the reality shows, Neeraj had always left everyone inspired with his success story and commitment towards the nation. However, it was his visit to the popular dance reality show, Dance+ 6 that had caught a lot of attention for all the cute reasons. As it was the first time when Neeraj had revealed the kind of girl he would love to marry in his life.
During the episode, one of the judges on the show, Punit Pathak, had asked Neeraj Chopra about his relationship status. Answering this, the athlete had stated that he's single at the moment. After which, Punit had told Neeraj to share some details about the kind of girl he would marry in the future. Punit had also urged Neeraj to reveal some of the qualities that he would surely look for in his future wife. In response to this, Neeraj had said that he would love to marry a girl from the sports background, who is extremely focused and serious about her career and is respectful towards his family members. His inspiring and sweet answer had left everyone in awe of him.
