The entire nation is currently witnessing the pre-wedding and wedding festivities of one of the most-loved couples of Tinseltown, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. After months of speculations and multiple media reports about Ranbir and Alia's wedding, it was Neetu Kapoor's official confirmation that had made our hearts flutter with joy. And now, we are glued to our social media feed to get an update about Alia and Ranbir's grand wedding!
For the unversed, on April 13, 2022, while interacting with the paps the mother of the groom, Neetu Kapoor and her daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni had confirmed the date and venue of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's wedding. In the video doing rounds on the internet, Neetu Kapoor had revealed that Ranbir and Alia are getting married on April 14, 2022, at their family home, Vaastu. On the other hand, Alia's soon-to-be nanad, Riddhima couldn't stop praising her and had called her the cutest.

As per the latest report in India Today, it was stated that Neetu Kapoor got emotional at her son, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's mehendi ceremony as she was missing her husband, Rishi Kapoor. A source present at Alia-Ranbir’s mehendi ceremony revealed that Neetu Kapoor got teary-eyed as she recalled the memories of her own mehendi and engagement ceremony with Rishi Kapoor. The report further stated that Neetu and Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan were super happy and had clicked tons of photographs.
Whenever Neetu Kapoor was asked about Ranbir and Alia's wedding, she used to stay mum. However, she never leaves a chance to praise her to-be-bahu, Alia Bhatt. For instance, in an interview with the ETimes, Neetu had opened up about how she hopes to have an 'outstanding' bond with Alia after her wedding to Ranbir Kapoor. Talking about how she had a great relationship with her mother-in-law, Krishna Raj Kapoor, Neetu had said:
"I hope I do when they get married and I want to. My relationship with my mother-in-law was outstanding. She loved me more than her son and I know it. We were friends and spoke about everything under the sun. In fact, I would complain about my husband to her (laughs!). We were very open. I hope I have the same equation with Alia because she is outstanding and amazing."

On April 13, 2022, Neetu Kapoor had taken us down the memory lane and had shared a monochrome picture from her engagement with her late husband, Rishi Kapoor. Neetu and Rishi could be seen exchanging rings in the picture, and it had spoken volumes about their love for each other. Neetu had captioned the picture as:
"Fond memories of baisakhi day as we got engaged 43 years back on 13th April 1979."
