The pain of loosing someone is so immense that no words can describe it and with every passing day, their absence becomes more evitable. April 30, 2020, had given the biggest shock to everyone as one of our favourite stars, Rishi Kapoor had left for his heavenly abode. After his two years long battle with cancer, the veteran had left everyone leaving his memories to cherish. And since then, every event is celebrated in the Kapoor clan remembering Rishi ji. If there was someone, who stood by Rishi Kapoor like a rock throughout his treatment, then it was his wife, Neetu Kapoor. Taking care of him just like a mother, Neetu ji had always been his pillar of strength. After his death, on May 2, 2020, Neetu ji had shared an emotional farewell post for him. She had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a picture of Rishi ji with a drink in his hand, posing for the camera with his enchanting smile. She had captioned the picture as “End of our story.”
Neetu Kapoor has always penned heart-melting notes remembering her late husband and her recent post is no different. The veteran actress began shooting for her upcoming film, Jug Jugg Jeeyo. As she is back on the sets after a gap of seven years, Neetu ji feels a bit ‘scared’ and remembers Rishi ji. She took to her IG handle and shared a picture from her make-up room with an adorable note. Stating that she is all by herself, Neetu ji wrote, “Back on set after so many years. To new beginnings and the magic of the movies. I feel YOUR love and presence. From mom, to Kapoor Sahab, to Ranbir always being with me... now I find myself all by myself, feeling a little scared, but I know you are always with me.” Neetu Kapoor’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni took to her IG stories to wish her mom on her new beginning. Sharing a picture of Neetu ji, Riddhima wrote, “First day of shoot! All the best ma. Bring back the magic @neetu54” atop it followed by a heart emoticon.
Some days back, Neetu Kapoor had shared a picture with the star cast of Jug Jugg Jeeyo and had written, “My first flight, in these scary times!! Nervousss for this journey!! While Kapoor Sahab, you aren’t here holding my hand, I know you are with me... #RnR thank you for encouraging me to do this… #jugjuggjeeyo. On November 5, 2020, Neetu Kapoor had shared a glimpse of the Karwa Chauth celebrations at the Kapoor household. In the family picture, we could spot Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Nitasha Nanda, Manoj Jain, Rima Jain, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Armaan Jain, Anissa Malhotra and Aadar Jain. Along with the picture, Neetu ji had written, “Karva chauth with family… miss you kapoor sahab.”
On May 30, 2020, Neetu ji had shared a throwback picture with Rishi ji. In the picture, the duo had twinned in blue and had looked adorable. Along with the picture, she had written an emotional note, which could be read as “Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye. Cheerio, here I go on my way. With a cheer, not a tear, in your eye. Give me a smile, I can keep for a while. In my heart while I'm away” followed by a heart emoticon.
