Veteran actress, Neetu Kapoor had begun her acting career at the age of six with the film, Suraj in 1966. She had become a sensation with movies like Deewaar, Kabhi Kabhi, Amar Akbar Anthony etc. However, after tying the knot with actor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu had taken a sabbatical to focus on her family. Her husband and her kids had become her priority.
On April 30, 2020, Neetu had lost her biggest support system, Rishi Kapoor as he had left for the heavenly abode. To take herself out of the grief and keep herself busy, Neetu had made a comeback to Bollywood and signed the film, Jug Jug Jeeyo. It was her kids, Ranbir and Riddhima, who had given her the confidence to make a comeback.

Neetu Kapoor recently did an ad shoot with her son, Ranbir Kapoor. In an interview with Free Press Journal, Neetu talked about her experience of working with Ranbir and revealed that he kept advising her on the sets. Revealing Ranbir's advice and her reaction to it, Neetu stated:
"’Mom aise paun rakho!’ So I’m like, ‘Tu merko batayega? Main teri maa hoon!’"
Neetu Kapoor is often been papped as she steps out of her shoot. However, in the past few days, she has become the favourite of paps as they keep on asking her about Ranbir and Alia's wedding. A few days back, one of the paparazzi had asked Neetu when she was bringing her bahu home. Without saying a word, Neetu had made a hand gesture hinting that only God knows.
Ranbir shares a very close bond with his mother, Neetu Kapoor. In an interview with the Cosmopolitan, Neetu had talked about her relationship with Ranbir and had said:

"I was very troubled in my married life. I think he must have been 15 or so when Rishi and I went through a really bad patch. I have always felt that while my daughter should be innocent and learn to face life as it comes, my son should be street smart and know everything about life."

She also revealed how she would talk to Ranbir about all the rights and wrongs in her marriage. Sharing how her experience will help him to become a good husband, Neetu had retorted:
"So I would sit with Ranbir and talk to him. For hours, I would tell him all I felt was right and wrong with my marriage, try to explain it all to him. I think he was my best friend then, my only confidant. I would talk my heart out to him, as to no one else. He changed then I think, suddenly became responsible, grown-up. I felt he should know everything, for one, it would make him a good husband when the time came."
On the professional front, Neetu Kapoor is currently judging the reality show, Dance Deewane Juniors.
