Her social media post featured a picture note about families not being the same anymore. Neetu's note can be read as:

"The reason why our families are not the same anymore, is because we buried the ones who used to keep the family together."

When the paps clicked the actor, he requested them not to post his pictures and videos on the same night as he was going to surprise his mother, Neetu Kapoor, on her birthday. However, Ranbir Kapoor's wife, Alia Bhatt, and their daughter, Raha, didn't accompany him for the celebration.
