Talking specifically about Rishi Kapoor in here, as he soon completes the last stage of his treatment, his wife, Neetu Kapoor has been a constant pillar of support for her hubby. Rishi ji and Neetu ji redefine #CoupleGoals. They're currently in New York, undergoing the last phase of Rishi ji’s cancer treatment. It has been months since he is away from his land, but the entire residents of B-town have tried their best to make the legendary actor feel at home. Time and again, many B-town stars have flown in to visit the steadfastly recuperating Rishi Kapoor in NYC. But one person who has always been his constant in these trying times is his wife, Neetu Kapoor. Ever since Rishi ji was admitted to the hospital, Neetu ji has stood by her hubby like a rock.
And how rightfully, Rishi Kapoor admits to the same. In a soon-to-air interaction with Times Now, Rishi and his wife, Neetu ji bared it all out about the trying times in NYC and the former’s cancer treatment. Expressing his debt of gratitude to Neetu ji, Rishi ji shared, “She has been a rock of Gibraltar, really really supported me without her I wouldn't be getting anywhere." Neetu ji too, revealing one of her ‘wonder wife’ secrets, said, “It's like I told you he became like my child and I wanted to do everything in my power that he should not be in pain, he should get whatever he wants." For all those who have missed Rishi and Neetu ji in town, do note that the duo is planning to make it to India, just in time for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations which will be celebrated on September 02, 2019. About the same, Rishi ji shared, “Celebrating Ganpati is a family tradition. So, I am hoping to be part of it."
Rishi Kapoor, in an interview with The Times of India, had spoken about the most important thing that he has learnt in this one year of struggle. He had stated, “The most important thing that these past nine months taught me, apart from the fact that I had to recover from a disease, is patience. I never had that before. God has taught me that patience is the mother of all virtues. My (medical) treatment is hardly for an hour once in four weeks, but it takes longer for it to work on you. It’s not a push-button thing that you do it once, and then you will be alright. My wife and friends keep telling me that I was a very impatient person all the time... my work style, my way of life... The fact is, you have to be patient and let things take its own course. I have been going through this ordeal of being a patient and it’s interesting how it (the word patient) taught me patience. You can’t always be wanting to do things immediately.” (Also Read: Urvashi Dholakia Feels She And Anuj Sachdeva Are Mature Individuals And Won't Fight Like Teenagers)
Rishi Kapoor had also revealed the thoughts and the mindset that he had developed to sustain such a difficult phase. The Agneepath actor had shared, “My work was such that I couldn’t afford to be patient. I had to be active all the time. Life teaches you to slow down sometimes. Anupam Kher told me that I needed this break, but of course, not in this manner. I don’t want a break when I am undergoing treatment. People may wonder what I am doing in America for so long. I move around, eat, drink, shop and watch films. I can’t come home because I am bound by the hospital — I am under treatment and under observation. For me, this has taken great patience, else I would have left this place and come back to Mumbai a long time ago. The treatment requires you to behave a certain way. From one treatment to another, it takes weeks. That’s why I have been here for nine-and-a-half months. I am hoping to come back by the end of August. I have seen all four seasons of this city (New York). I came here in September last year, which was autumn. I went through winter, spring and now, it is summer.”

Rishi Kapoor had further added, “In 45 years of my career, I have never taken such a long break. It makes me think that sometimes, God takes the decisions for you that you don’t. I haven’t boarded a flight for the past nine-and-a-half months. I haven’t stepped out of NYC. I am planning to go to the Hamptons tomorrow, it’s about three hours’ drive from here. For the first time in nine months, I’ll be taking a break and going to the beach. Thankfully my children, friends, family and well-wishers are with me.” (Must Read: Rishi Kapoor Can't Thank Neetu Kapoor Enough For Being His Rock During The Cancer Treatment)
