As the world ages, pollutants, pollution, adulteration and similar words are governing the earth like a devil. This, in turn, gives rise to deadly ailments such as cancer, which is only increasing in number. When our favourite celebs come under its grasp, we go into an impending state of doom. But it is either them or their near and dear ones, whose encouraging messages help us come at par with the situation and thus begins our prayers and good wishes for them. Similar is the story of Rishi Kapoor, who is all hale and hearty after being struck by the ‘Big C’ and is soon coming back home to Mumbai, after a yearlong treatment in the New York City. It was Rishi Kapoor's birthday yesterday and he, along with his constant pillar of support, Neetu Kapoor, had enjoyed a quiet dinner date at a posh New York eatery, Daniel Boulud's flagship restaurant. While Neetu ji had shared pictures and videos from Rishi ji's birthday dinner, it was the latter who had busted the restaurant in a tweet, which could be read as "Birthday dinner with Neetu at Daniel Boulud's flagship restaurant at 65th between Park and Mad... Disappointed. Highly overrated, overpriced and arrogant. Not recommended at all. One kick up their a** and this is a foodie saying so." Here are the pictures from the same:
Remember we had told you about the first-ever tweet from Rishi Kapoor at the beginning from where all the speculations had begun a year back? Rishi ji’s tweet had said, “I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It's been 45 years 'plus' of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!" And that is soon going to happen!
Rishi Kapoor, in an interview with the TOI, had spoken about the most important thing that he had learnt in this one year of struggle. He had stated, “The most important thing that these past nine months taught me, apart from the fact that I had to recover from a disease, is patience. I never had that before. God has taught me that patience is the mother of all virtues. My (medical) treatment is hardly for an hour once in four weeks, but it takes long for it to work on you. It’s not a push-button thing that you do it once, and then you will be alright. My wife and friends keep telling me that I was a very impatient person all the time... my work style, my way of life... The fact is, you have to be patient and let things take its own course. I have been going through this ordeal of being a patient and it’s interesting how it (the word patient) taught me patience. You can’t always be wanting to do things immediately.”
Rishi Kapoor had also revealed the thoughts and the mindset that he had developed to sustain such a difficult phase. The Agneepath actor had revealed, “My work was such that I couldn’t afford to be patient. I had to be active all the time. Life teaches you to slow down sometimes. Anupam Kher told me that I needed this break, but of course, not in this manner. I don’t want a break when I am undergoing treatment. People may wonder what I am doing in America for so long. I move around, eat, drink, shop and watch films. I can’t come home because I am bound by the hospital — I am under treatment and under observation. For me, this has taken great patience, else I would have left this place and come back to Mumbai a long time ago. The treatment requires you to behave a certain way. From one treatment to another, it takes weeks. That’s why I have been here for nine-and-a-half months. I am hoping to come back by the end of August. I have seen all four seasons of this city (New York). I came here in September last year, which was autumn. I went through winter, spring and now, it is summer.” (Also Read: Tiger Shroff's Sister, Krishna Shroff Shares Mushy Pics With Her Boyfriend From Their Dinner Date)
Rishi Kapoor had further added, “In 45 years of my career, I have never taken such a long break. It makes me think that sometimes, God takes the decisions for you that you don’t. I haven’t boarded a flight for the past nine-and-a-half months. I haven’t stepped out of NYC. I am planning to go to the Hamptons tomorrow, it’s about three hours’ drive from here. For the first time in nine months, I’ll be taking a break and going to the beach. Thankfully my children, friends, family and well-wishers are with me.”
Can’t wait to see Rishi ji and Neetu ji back at the airport, as they soon head home!
