Nita Ambani Launches Her Circle EveryBODY Project, Addresses The Issues Of Trolling And Humiliation

Indian business tycoon, Mukesh Ambani's wife, Nita Ambani is a well-known philanthropist. She is the founder of the digital platform, Her Circle, which was launched in 2021 to create a safe and growth-oriented digital haven for women. In just a short span of time, Her Circle has become India’s largest digital platform for women with an overall reach of 310 million followers.

On International Women’s Day i.e., March 8, 2023, the Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani launched the 'Her Circle, EveryBODY Project’ to celebrate body positivity in women. The aim of this initiative is to create an atmosphere of kindness and encourage the acceptance of all without any judgement. Nita Ambani wishes women to embrace their bodies irrespective of size, age, colour, neurodiversity, or physicality.

Nita Ambani talks about the brutal trolling people face on social media

On Her Circle's second anniversary, Nita Ambani invited every individual to be a part of this initiative and make a difference. The entrepreneur talked about the core of her new project, the Her Circle Everybody Project, and shared how people pass mean comments on people without knowing the battles that they are fighting. Reflecting on the same, Nita Ambani said:

“Her Circle is about sisterhood, but also about solidarity. A solidarity that is based on equality, inclusion, and respect for all. And that is the core of our new project – the Her Circle Everybody Project. We have all seen the kind of trolling that happens on social media. They pass opinions without knowing the battles people are fighting.” 

Nita Ambani also talked about the effects of trolling and humiliation that people face in their lives and mentioned that it is damaging to young minds. Mentioning how people face medical issues and genetic factors, she shared that trolls should think twice before passing mean comments. In her words:

“There are medical issues, there are genetic factors people can be going through. And yet they are subjected to trolling and humiliation. It can be so damaging, especially for young minds. I hope our initiative can address this in some way and give people the confidence and freedom to be who they are.”

Nita Ambani congratulates the team of Her Circle

For the unversed, Her Circle provides women with answers from an esteemed panel of experts on health, wellness, education, entrepreneurship, finance, philanthropy, mentorship and leadership. However, now that the project has achieved an impressive milestone, Nita Ambani congratulated the entire team on their efforts. She concluded:

“Congratulations to the entire team and the millions of women who form Her Circle! We started out as an idea. And we hope to make it a movement for all women! We launched Her Circle in the middle of the pandemic, still in lockdown. And we’ve come a long way in the last two years. But this is just the beginning!”
